    Asked on September 12th, 2025

Is it possible to know about the typical traveler age range and type on this tour?

    Age Range
    Tour Details
    • Kiwi ExperienceOperatorWritten September 2025

Typically, our travellers are from Germany, the Netherlands, Scandinavia countries, the UK, United States, Canada and Australia. The average age is between mid 20's - 35, but sometimes there are some older travellers. Many of our travellers are also travelling solo!

What meals are included in the tour? Do we always eat out in restaurants in the evening? How much should I budget for meals?

      TravelerWritten September 2025

How do additional activities work? Do I need to book them in advance or can I decide during the trip?

    • Kiwi ExperienceOperatorWritten September 2025

You can book activities while on the bus as the bus driver provides information. I suggest booking in advance for activities you don't want to miss, like Swimming with Dolphins in Kaikoura. Other meals are not included except 2 dinners. The bus will stop for groceries so you can cook or dine out.

I will be taking a group of 14 people to New Zealand, and I would like to know if it is possible to arrange a customized itinerary. I would love to learn more about the options available for private groups, including transportation, accommodation, and sightseeing tours. Additionally, could you provide me with information on pricing and conditions for this type of service?

      TravelerWritten March 2025

We are planning a trip for March 2026 and would like an initial proposal to assess its feasibility. Number of travelers: 14 adults. Accommodation: Three-star hotels, in double or triple rooms. Destination: Starting in Auckland, exploring both the North and South Islands, and ending in Queenstown or a nearby city for a convenient return flight. Activities: Visiting as many key tourist attractions as possible in each region. Duration: To be determined based on feasibility and cost. Budget: We do not have a defined budget yet, so we are looking for cost-effective options. We would like to understand the best alternatives to optimize both cost and experience, considering the possibility of a private itinerary for our group or joining a trip with other travelers if it proves to be more economical.

    • Kiwi ExperienceOperatorWritten March 2025

We can certainly provide you with a private tour in March 2026. Before we can give you a price, do you have an itinerary in mind? If not, I would suggest looking at our tours, either on Tour Radar or our website and let us know if any of them are of interest. We can look to tweak them slightly to make sure they are right for you and your group. We normally provide dorm share accommodation but can look to put you in 3 start hotels as you request.

Most of the people on our tours do sit within the 18-35 age range, however we do have older travelers as well!
