You'll arrive at Madrid-Barajas Airport and get transferred to your hotel. After settling in, the rest of the day is yours to explore the capital at your own pace. It's a good time to get your bearings, maybe walk around your neighborhood, grab dinner somewhere local, and adjust to being in the city.

Madrid
A guided panoramic tour takes you through Madrid's different periods, from its medieval origins through Renaissance and Baroque eras to modern sites. You'll see Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace, and Santiago Bernabéu stadium. The afternoon opens up for you to head back out and see anything else that caught your interest during the morning.

Madrid to Porto
After breakfast, you're heading toward Porto. First stop is Salamanca, the historic university city, where you have free time to walk around and check out the plazas and architecture. Then it's on to Porto, Portugal's second-largest city, known for its port wine production and that beautiful riverside setting along the Douro.

Porto
This day focuses on Porto itself. You'll walk through the historic World Heritage center, visiting the cathedral and the Church of Santa Clara. Fatima to Batalha to Nazaré to Alcobaça to Lisbon
The day starts at the Batalha Monastery, a Dominican Convent built after a Portuguese military victory in 1385, known for its distinctive Manueline Gothic style. Next, you head to the fishing village of Nazaré to see traditional fishermen in their characteristic seven layered skirts. A stop in Alcobaça follows to see the 12th-century Gothic church and Cistercian monastery. You arrive in Lisbon by evening for your final accommodation.

Lisbon to Cáceres to Madrid
You're traveling to Cáceres in Extremadura to explore Ciudad Monumental, a medieval area mixing Gothic and Renaissance styles. Historic palaces like Golfines de Abajo, Carvajal, and Toledo-Moctezuma are on the itinerary, along with the Casa de las Veletas museum containing works by Picasso and Miró. The Co-Cathedral of Santa María is also included. After lunch, you head back toward Madrid for your final night.
