- Day 1
Amman
You'll arrive at Queen Alia International Airport and get picked up for a transfer to your hotel. Since evening flights are typical, today's really about getting settled in and resting up before things get started.

Amman
After breakfast you'll meet your tour leader and the group, then head out walking to see the Roman Amphitheatre. From there you'll check out Amman Citadel up on the highest hill, and later finish at the Jordan Museum where the Ain Ghazal statues and Dead Sea Scrolls are on display.

Amman - As Salt - Pella - Umm Qais
Early start heading to As Salt, a UNESCO town spread across three hills with Ottoman history. You'll walk through the Archaeological Museum, Abu Jaber Museum, and Al Hammam Street before moving on to Pella's Roman ruins. A local family cooks lunch for you at Umm Qais, then you explore Gadara's ruins with Sea of Galilee views before reaching Ajloun Forest Reserve.

Ajloun - Jerash - Azraq
Begin at Ajloun Castle, a 12th century fortress built under Saladin. Drive to Jerash for one of Jordan's most significant Roman sites with columned streets, theatres, and the Temple of Zeus. Later you'll head into the eastern desert to Azraq, staying at a historic lodge that served as a 1940s British military hospital, with dinner from the local Chechen community.

- Day 5
Azraq - Desert Castles - Bethany - Dead Sea
Start at Azraq Wetlands Reserve for migratory bird watching, then visit Azraq Castle, Lawrence of Arabia's base during the Arab Revolt. See the fresco paintings at Qasr Amra and the castle at Qasr Kharana. Stop at Iraq Al-Amir for pre-Roman Qasr Al-Abed and a women's co-operative, then reach Bethany Beyond the Jordan, the baptism site, before driving to Dead Sea waterfront accommodation.

Dead Sea - Red Sea - Wadi Rum
You'll visit Al Numiera Environmental Association to learn about water conservation, then stop at Berenice Beach on the Red Sea for a couple hours. Continue into Wadi Rum with its towering sandstone mountains and stay at a private Bedouin camp. Dinner is traditional zarb cooked underground, followed by time around the campfire learning about Bedouin culture and music.

- Day 7
Wadi Rum - Wadi Musa
Your Bedouin hosts take you on a four-hour 4x4 journey through Wadi Rum's landscapes with stops for traditional tea. Afterward you'll drive to Wadi Musa next to Petra, visiting the Petra Museum to prepare for exploring the site the following day.

- Days 8 - 9
Petra
You'll spend two days at Petra, the ancient Nabatean city carved into red-and-yellow sandstone. Day one takes you through the dramatic Siq chasm to El Khazneh (the Treasury), then through the city center past tombs and homes, with an optional 750-step hike to El Deir (the Monastery). On day two your guide takes you back for further exploration or a challenging hike to the High Place of Sacrifice for panoramic views.

Petra - Little Petra - Shobak Castle - Dana Village
Start with a short visit to Little Petra, possibly a Silk Road trading suburb. Travel 45 minutes along the scenic King's Highway to Shobak Castle, a 1115 Crusader fortress with catacombs and medieval features. Continue 40 minutes to Dana Village, a 15th-century settlement in the Dana Biosphere Reserve, walking through terraced gardens, craft workshops, and Ottoman architecture before staying in RSCN accommodation.

Dana - Kerak - Umm Ar-Rasas - Mount Nebo - Madaba
Leave Dana driving two hours along the King's Highway through hills to Kerak, an impressive Crusader castle with dark halls and passages that offers views to the Dead Sea and Jerusalem on clear days. Continue to Umm ar-Rasas, an unexcavated UNESCO site with Roman and Byzantine remains including St Stephen's Church mosaic floor. Head to Madaba to see St George's Church's ancient mosaic map, then reach Mount Nebo at 700m high for views over the Dead Sea toward Palestine and Israel.
