You'll touch down in Buenos Aires and check into your hotel for the night. This city pulses with tango music, European-style architecture, and some seriously good steakhouses if you're hungry. If you arrived early or want to see more before the main tour starts, there's an optional pre-program available to help you get oriented.

Buenos Aires to Ushuaia
An early morning flight takes you from Buenos Aires down to Ushuaia, where you'll board your hybrid electric ship. After you meet the Expedition Team and get settled in your cabin, dinner happens on board that evening to kick things off.

Drake Passage Crossing
Two days crossing the Drake Passage give you time to attend lectures from the team about Antarctica's history, science, and climate. You can join citizen science projects, use the spa facilities, or just relax in the Explorer Lounge with meals and conversation throughout.

Antarctica Exploration
Five days exploring Antarctica's frozen landscape with the ship as your base. You'll go on landings with the Expedition Team, do ice cruises, and try optional kayaking around icebergs. Expert lectures continue on board, and the Captain adjusts each day's plans based on weather and ice conditions.

Drake Passage Return
The journey back across the Drake Passage gives you space to reflect on what you've seen. You can review photos and videos, spend time in the sauna or spa, and continue attending lectures that help tie together everything you've experienced.

Ushuaia
You'll have a full day in Ushuaia to explore on your own terms. The maritime museum sits in the old prison building, and you can get your passport stamped at the Tourist Information Center. Local food is worth trying, and there are hiking trails outside town if you want to get outside.

Beagle Channel and Cape Horn
The ship sails through the scenic Beagle Channel heading toward Cape Horn, the southernmost tip of South America. Watch the rocky walls for Peale's dolphins and other wildlife. If conditions allow, you'll land at Cape Horn and stand where the Atlantic and Pacific meet.

Puerto Williams
Puerto Williams is a quiet town that competes for the title of world's southernmost city. The Martin Gusinde Anthropological Museum has Indigenous Yaghan artifacts, and you can see the historic Yelcho ship bow. Hiking is available solo or with a guide, and you should watch for albatross and other seabirds.

Garibaldi Fjord and Alberto de Agostini National Park
Garibaldi Fjord in Alberto de Agostini National Park is the focus for the day. Depending on conditions, you'll visit either Garibaldi or Pia Glacier to see ice calving into the fjords. Seals, sea lions, and birds like the Andean condor show up regularly in this UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Strait of Magellan
Sailing north along the Chilean coast takes you through the Strait of Magellan with its maze of fjords, islands, and steep mountains. Lectures cover pre-Columbian history, local geology, and folklore. Elephant seals, dolphins, and whales pass by, and the photographer on board can give you tips for capturing the landscape and wildlife.

Puerto Natales and Torres del Paine
The ship heads to Puerto Natales, where Torres del Paine National Park is the main draw. You can choose a panoramic bus tour or a hiking excursion to see the park's steppe, forest, glaciers, and lakes. Back in town, check out the artisan village at Etherh Aike, visit the Last Hope Distillery, or walk the waterfront.

White Narrows to Puerto Edén
You'll navigate the White Narrows, a waterway that's less than 330 feet wide in spots and only passable at slack water during daylight. The Captain skillfully maneuvers MS Roald Amundsen while you catch deck views, spot wildlife, or attend Science Center lectures about the fjords.

Puerto Edén
Puerto Edén in Bernardo O'Higgins National Park sits deep in a remote fjord and is only reachable by sea or monthly ferry. Wooden boardwalks serve as streets instead of roads. You'll meet some of the remaining Indigenous Kawéqar people and learn about their Patagonian culture.

Caleta Tortel
Caleta Tortel sits isolated at the mouth of Chile's largest river. This community of about 500 people connects via a network of boardwalks that spread over water and wind around mountain bases. Kayaking the milky blue waters is an option if conditions work out, and local handicrafts and folk dance performances are available.

Patagonian Waters
Sailing north through Patagonian waters shows off shades of blue from bright aquamarine to deep midnight tones. Look for whales, seabirds, and seals as you pass. The ship has a panoramic sauna, hot tubs, and infinity pool on deck. You can relax in the Explorer Lounge, enjoy the dining, and attend lectures about local history and wildlife photography.

Castro, Chiloé Island
Castro appears in lush green landscape on Chiloé Island and is Chile's third-oldest city. Two UNESCO World Heritage churches here are Iglesia San Francisco and Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Gracia de Nercón. The colorful palafitos stilt houses along the waterfront are worth photographing, and there's a regional museum and modern art museum to explore.

Niebla and Valdivia
Niebla is a seaside town on a peninsula with views of Corral Bay and the Valdivia River. Walk the wide beach and check out the Feria Costumbrista market for traditional empanadas, anticuchos, and churros. Old Spanish fort ruins and a museum are there, plus a lighthouse with river views. Later you'll travel to Valdivia, one of Chile's oldest Spanish colonial settlements.

Sailing to Valparaíso
The ship heads north along the Pacific coast toward Valpraíso. This is a good time to reflect with other travelers, chat about what you've seen in Antarctica and Patagonia, and listen as the Expedition Team recaps the whole journey. Enjoy the ship's facilities and have a special final dinner.

Valparaíso
Valpraíso, known as the Jewel of the Pacific, is built on steep hillsides overlooking the ocean and is UNESCO-listed. Winding alleyways and neighborhoods have colorful houses and markets packed with local goods. Take the cable car up to Cerro Alegre and Concepción for views over the city. An optional post-program is available if you want to continue exploring.
