  I did the 10 day Egypt and Jordan tour with Travel Chance Egypt and must say they hit it out of the ballpark. I came across this tour package right after my Middle East cruise got canceled due to the US/Iran conflict. I was looking at other places around the world to visit, but had my heart set on visiting Egypt and Jordan as these are stops I would have made on my cruise. From the time I booked my vacation, TCE (Travel Chance Egypt for short) handled everything with precision and efficiency. From the moment I landed in Cairo, they lined up someone to help assist you through customs followed with a driver to take you to your hotel. Since I arrived the day before the actual tour began, I opted for a day tour of Old Cairo, visited the Egyptian Civilization Museum, and some sightseeing. I also added an evening cruise with dinner and entertainment. The following day is when the real tour began and we went to the pyramids, plus visited Grand Egyptian Museum. Mohamed, the tour guide, was wonderful to have during the time I was in Cairo as was Nour the driver. Mohamed was very knowledgeable in Egyptian history. The next segment was Aswan to Luxor where I connected with Peter who was my tour guide. I got to enjoy a Nile cruise for the next three nights where the ship made some stops to visit temples. I also opted to visit the Nubian Village which was a wonderful experience where I got introduced to their culture. Peter shared his knowledge of the temples and Egyptian history and concluded this segment by visiting Karnak Temple. The final segment of my TCE vacation was in Jordan. Like the Egypt arrival, I had someone who greeted me and assisted with customs in Jordan. Then, I had a driver named Mohammed who was my driver during the three days I was in Jordan. While I was in Jordan, I got to visit Jerash, Petra, Citadel, Madaba, Mt. Nebo, and more. I also opted to visit the Dead Sea and swim in the waters. Then, it was time for me to end my vacation with TCE. While I traveled as a solo female, TCE would place me with others on some of the excursion days. I always felt safe with the tour guides and drivers who made my bucket list vacation amazing. This vacation packs so much in so little time!   I did the Dream Tour (Pyramids, Alexandria (optional), White Desert, Black Desert, Crystal Mountain, Nile Cruise Aswan/Luxor from August 10 2026 until August 19 2026. I only have good comments to say. Accommodations were great, food was good, guides were so knowledgeable, friendly, interesting, and spoke very good English. Itinerary was full, but not overwhelming. I received notifications on What’s app to let me know what was to come next. Guides and drivers were on time, and I was never worried at anytime during the trip. Travel Chance operators made me feel safe and taken care of. I could contact them at any time for questions. Egyptians were very welcoming. You have to pay for your entry on visits and they mostly accept cash (USD, Egytian Pounds) or card. You also have to pay for some meals that are not included, and stuff you purchase when you stop at rest stops while driving long drives. All the rest is included. Bottles of water were provided very often for free. Bring money to tip guides, drivers, bell hops that carry your luggage, room cleaning lady, restaurant servers and any extra (tip for camel guide, tip for boat driver for the Nubian village visit and tip for host during the visit, tip for horse carriage driver, tip for people in temples that show you where to get the best pictures, etc). Things are not expensive at all in the stores, and prices will vary (if you are in a store while on a site visit it will be more expensive than on a convenience store) : bottle water or large bag of chips, less than 50 cents, fresh mango juice less than 2 $, pack of cigarettes, 1,25 USD. I purchased a beautiful embroidered robe for 12 $ USD, a small handmade carpet for approximately 40 $ USD, a handmade pouf for 32 $ USD, a scarf for 1 $ USD, carved cat sculptures for 35 $ UDS. Itinerary in details : Day 1 : Cairo airport arrival : a representative was at the airport to assist me and lead me to the driver. The driver was actually a representative from the company there to make sure my arrival was safe and I had a good experience. He drove me to the hotel, sharing a lot of information about Egypt along the way. The hotel, the Kings Pyramid View was just amazing, with a large room and balcony that had a view of the pyramids and a rooftop restaurant. There was a convenience store withing a 2 minutes walk of the hotel, which was convenient, and restaurants within a 10 minutes walk, plus the rooftop restaurant. Day 2 : Breakfast at the hotel on the rooftop. Food was good and portions were generous. A representative from the company and a guide picked me up from the hotel. Visit of the Pyramids & Sphinx. I took an optional camel tour and it was absolutely worth it. I also did the optional tour to go into the King’s Chamber of the pyramid. It was hot, and steep, and I was out of breath, but this was a once in a lifetime opportunity and worth it. We stopped at a place where the fabricate papyrus art and there was a demonstration of how it is made. We had lunch in a restaurant offering a buffet and it was delicious. After lunch we visited the Grand Egyptian Museum which was very interesting. On all the tours, the guide will do a quick tour with you giving you A LOT of information, and then give you some time by yourself to explore some more. Drive back to the hotel late afternoon. Day 3 : Early drive to the airport done by a representative from the company. Hotel made a breakfast lunch box which was nice and it was a very large portion. Flight to Aswan. Guide and driver waiting at the airport to pick me up. We visited the High dam and took a short boat ride to Philae temple. After, we visited a place where they make essential oils and perfumes and make perfume bottles out of blown glass. After we viewed the Unfinished Obelisk. I was then dropped off on the Nile cruise (for 3 nights), and had lunch on board. Room on the cruise was spacious and nice with large patio doors, a shower, a safe and a fridge. All meals are included on the cruise, and you just have to pay for beverages (alcoholic or not). I did not know, but you should not tip at the restaurant at every meal, but instead tip when you check out as tips are split amongst all the staff on board. There is a bar and a few shops on the cruise. I took the optional visit to the Nubian village in the afternoon, which was just amazing. The guide picked me up from the cruise, then we took a boat ride to the village and walked. We stopped in a house and had some food and tea, and relaxed a little bit while guide was sharing a lot of information. Boat ride back to the cruise. Dinner on board. There was always plenty of choice of food and menu varied throughout the cruise. Servers were amazing. Day 4 : I took the optional visit to Abu Simbel which is absolutely worth it. Driver picked me up from the boat, we picked up the guide and we drove to the site. Boat staff made a very generous lunch box for the trip. Return to the boat and Sail to Kom Ombo. Guide met me late afternoon on the boat and we took a short walk to the temple. We visited the Crocodile museum, and went back to the boat. Dinner on board. There was some entertainment on the boat in the evening. Day 5 : Early visit to the temple of Horus in Edfu. Guide picked me up on the cruise, then we took a carriage ride to the temple. Return by carriage to the boat. Sail to Luxor. Breakfast and lunch on board. Met the guide on board late afternoon and visit of Karnak and Luxor Temples. Dinner on board. There was some entertainment on the boat in the evening, belly dancing and music. Day 6 : Breakfast on board and check out. Guide met me at the cruise. Visit of the Colossi of Memnon, the Valley of the Kings. I visited Tut’s tumb (extra), which was great considering we had visited the GEM and had seen all the items that were discovered in his tomb. We visited Hatshepsut’s temple. We visited a place where they carve rocks and make art. I could have gone back to the cruise around 2 pm (with no room until my late flight as check out was done) but I decided to go to a hotel instead for day use. Hotel was phenomenal, a beautiful Nubian style hotel, so I could enjoy the day awaiting my flight in a air conditioned room with a bath and shower and patio. It was extra but not expensive at all and so worth it. Driver picked me up late at night to drive me to the airport. Flight back to Cairo. A representative from the company was there to greet me and lead me to my driver. Drive to the hotel (the Kings Pyramid View). Day 7 : Breakfast at the hotel, then driver picked me up to bring me to the desert. Guide met me and we had lunch in Bahariya Oasis. Very generous lunch, in a beautiful setting. Then we boarded a 4x4 and drove into the desert. We stopped in an Oasis where water comes out of the ground and were able to soak our feet, relax, have fresh fruit and tea. Visit of the white desert, the black desert, Crystal Mountain, Agabat Valley. Guide made the tent, prepared the camp and cooked dinner in the desert. Absolutely delicious; a salad, mixed cooked vegetables, rice and bbq chicken cooked on the fire pit. I expected a Bedouin camp with lots of people but it was just the guide and I. Sunset was beautiful. It was so quiet at night! And you should see the sky! We saw the milky way, desert mice, lizards, scarabs and desert foxes. Day 8 : guide prepared breakfast (coffee, tea, fruit juice, fruits, cheese, croissants, fig jam, hazelnut spread, sweet tahini spread, yogurt), then we left and drove in the white desert to see amazing rock formations. Drive back to Bahariya oasis, change car and drive back to Cairo to the hotel (the Kings Pyramid View). Day 9 : Today I could have done the Alexandria optional tour but decided instead to do the Cairo Coptic tour. Guide and driver picked me up from the hotel and we visited a Salah Eldin Citadel, a church, a mosque, and Khan el Khalili Bazzar. We stopped in a local restaurant for lunch and it was delicious. This tour was very interesting, and I am glad I was with a guide t the bazaar and not by myself (it is huge and I would have gotten lost). Also guide can help you barter and get better prices. There is so much to see! Day 10 : driver picked me up and drove me to the airport. I was sad to leave as I had a wonderful time and recommend this trip to anyone.Show more
