What is the likely age range for this tour. I am in my 60's and quite active but want to blend in

    Age Range
    • Wild Tasmania ToursOperatorWritten January 2026

The age group can be pretty random tour to tour. Usually half the group in 25 to 40 and then the rest 50 to 65. The tour on the 1st of March currently has a 60 year old and a 70 year old and a few 30 year olds. 3 people have not disclosed age. You will be fine to join :) It's a great tour. We only take 13 people max. Other operators all take 24+ so there is a big difference in the trip. The tour on the 8th of March has 11 people booked on already and they are all in their 50s to 60s.

    Tour Details
    • Wild Tasmania ToursOperatorWritten December 2025

As for drive times, we are in the vehicle a few hours each day. Day 1 is the most driving but I have designed it so we are in and out of the vehicle all day doing walks and activities. Day 1 – Roughly 4 hours drive time. Walks: Tall Trees to Russel Falls walk is 1hr, 3kms. We also do a few other 30 min walks through the day breaking up the journey through the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage area. Day 2 – Roughly 3 hours drive time. Cradle Mountain National Park – Marions Lookout and Dove Lake Circuit are 6km walks taking about 2-2.5hrs. Day 3 – Roughly 3hrs drive time.2hrs at Bay of Fires and 1.5hrs at a wildlife sanctuary. Walks in Bicheno take about 1.5hrs at own pace depending on how much you want to explore. Day 4 – Roughly 3hrs drive time. Up to 4.5hrs walking time with the 11km Hazards circuit being the longest of the 3 options. Wineglass Bay lookout 2.6km. Lookout and beach return is 6kms 3.5hrs.

    Asked on December 20th, 2025

I would like to book a 4-day trip and I have a question regarding the return time. It is written that the return will be at 5:30 PM at the end point, which is Hobart CBD Hotels, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. My flight to Sydney is at 7:40 PM, but I am not sure if it will be possible to catch it without rushing. Could you please confirm whether the return time to the end point is definitely 5:30 PM, or if it could be scheduled earlier?

    Asked on August 20th, 2025

We are 2 couples looking to book March 1, 2026. We would prefer private rooms with separate bathrooms. One person in our group needs a good mattress as he has a bad back. What sort of accommodation is the Secluded bush cabins and the Coastal Bungalows Motel? Food options - one member of our group is Celiac. Can you accommodate her and can the places we stay accommodate a person with Celiac? How many hours a day are we driving? How intense are the hikes? We are all active and walk daily though we would want to limit to flatter terrain and max. 7KM daily

    Tour Details
    • Wild Tasmania ToursOperatorWritten August 2025

No problems regarding the Celiac. The 2 includes 2 meals, the rest are at cafes and restaurants. You will just have to ask for the gluten free options. Bush cabins: Basically a studio with a bathroom kitchen and queen bed over looking the bush. Coastal bungalow: Similar to the bush cabins but more like a little house. There are walks available for all fitness levels. Day 1 we are in and out of the vehicle all day. 4.5hrs. Day 2 Afternoon drive 3.5hrs. Day 3 A few 1hr drives 3hrs. Day 4 Afternoon drive back to Hobart 3hrs

    • Wild Tasmania ToursOperatorWritten August 2025

Plenty of seats available but only the two private rooms. The 4 and 5 Day tours target young and young at heart / people with a moderate level of fitness. The first couple of days are big but followed by a couple of easier days. The 5 day tour has mostly 18-30 year olds and the 4 day tour 25-45 but there are people of all ages often a couple or two in their 60's on every 4 day tour
