  1. Changing major itinerary from 3 countries now just 2 to visit last minute , 1 week before the start day is a major disappointment four the entire group. Some opted to cancel, but said they'll lost everything even though it's the company's shortcomings. It even cost me more changing my flight as a result of this. Removing Azerbaijan from their advertisement 1 week before the start is a major blow. Everyday there are lots of confusion from the head office to the hotel reservations. The food portion in all the restaurants was so small we believe they do that to spend . We believe we were short changed, less food so they get more money for their pocket. The location of the hotel/accommodation are all far from the parking that we have to cross the street walked on stone with our luggage dragging it. Others we have to walk 1/2km to walk to reach it. Our tour guide was excellent, fun loving and informative. We checked our tour companies that offering the same itinerary and their tours run exactly the same itinerary and did not omit Azerbaijan in their promised tour for whatever reason. Overall we Are totally disappointed removing 1 country to the itinerary. They can use whatever reason, but we do not totally believe their reason.Show more

  The transport vans need some improvement as the seats spacing are very cramped and the last row of seats are very bumpy. So far the itinerary in Caucasus was okay. Food needs some improvement in Georgia as we seem to get almost the same type of food every meal . Arif in Azerbaijan , Ilona in Georgia , Meline and Samuel in Armenia were doing their best to show us their beautiful countries and culture .Show more

  Amazing trip to the Caucasus. Our guides Arif, Ilona, Meline and Sam were consistently wonderful; friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their countries and the itinerary. I want to give a special shout-out to the organizer Ms Nino, who was a true saint for our tour. Her organizational skills are unmatched. We almost always had meals at local venues instead of the hotel (minus breakfast), and the farewell dinner with live entertainment was breathtaking. The only hiccup was some disorganization in Armenia, which was quickly rectified by Sakura and the tour went smoothly from then on. You will not regret taking this trip. Thank you for the memories, the laughs, and the breathtaking experiences. If you like culture, history, and experiencing true hospitality, this is the tour for you.Show more

  Great tour of these three fascinating countries, with an interesting and quite comprehensive itinerary for the number of days it ran over. I would've liked another day in Armenia, but even as it is, the itinerary covered many of each country's highlights, while also allowing time for travellers to explore on their own. Being a culturally immersive tour, the focus was on the history, traditions, customs, norms, beliefs, cuisines, etc. of each country and region visited. The tour, delivered this beyond my expectations. Arif, Ilona, Meline and Sam were excellent guides, whose knowledge of, and love for their respective country was evident. They were friendly, polite, helpful, informative, even-tempered and patient, with a good sense of humour. The organisation was excellent, with only a small hiccup on arrival in Armenia, but that didn't have a significant impact on the running of the tour. I should also mention that the booking process through Tour Radar was easy and smooth, and the communication from both Tour Radar and Sakura was to the point and timely. Sakura were also very responsive to some specific needs I have. Overall, this tour is an excellent value for money and I'd recommend it for anyone with a reasonable fitness level, who is considering visiting the Caucasus countries.Show more

  This three-country tour of the Caucasus coveting Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia is an excellent introduction to the region. The price reflects the comprehensive inclusions, such as one meal each day in addition to breakfast (so either lunch or dinner), all entrance fees and transportation. There are no additional hidden charges and the quality of accommodations is good. Guides were excellent in all countries. So, thank you to Arif in Azerbaijan, Ilona in Georgia and Meline in Armenia for doing so much to ensure our trip was so good, for your enthusiasm and for sharing your knowledge with us. All in all it was great group and we felt the guides became additional members and not just service providers. Our drivers too (Basil and George in Georgia, Ashot in Armenia - apologies to those others whose names have escaped me). Also our transfer guides, Tigrsn and Samvel, who ensured we were transferred from border to hotel and vice versa, also contributed to our enjoyment of the tour. Finally to ms Nino at Sakura who worked behind the scenes before and during the trip to keep things running smoothly. I can unreservedly recommend Sakura and this tour.Show more

  This was an excellent tour covering parts of three fascinating countries. The price of the tour reflects the fact it includes a meal each day (either lunch or dinner) in addition to breakfast every morning. The price also includes ALL entrance fees with no further charges made. All transport is also included, so this tour is quite comprehensive. To speak about our guides and drivers: in all three countries the guides were friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and approachable. Arif in Azerbaijan, Ilona in Georgia and Meline in Armenia all did everything they could to give us the best possible experience of their respective countries. They felt like expert members of our group more than “just” service providers. Similarly our drivers added to the enjoyment of the trip. Unfortunately I do not remember all their names but I give special mention to Basil and George in Georgia and Ashot in Armenia. I should also mention our transfer guides in Armenia: Tigran and Samvel who ensured we were transferred between the border and our hotel and vice versa without fuss. Thank you also to Ms Nino at the Sakura organisation for her hard work before and during the trip to make the tour run smoothly. I can thoroughly recommend this tour and the Sakura tour operator based on this experience.Show more
