The route from Armenia's Echmiadzin Cathedral to Georgia's ancient Mtskheta reveals local traditions. Wine tastings in Telavi, authentic meals in Kakheti Province, and UNESCO sites like Haghpat Monastery highlight the journey. Guided tours of Yerevan and Tbilisi's historic centers provide deep cultural insights.

"I want to start with a shout out to our exemplary guide Giorgio. He was well informed, super efficient, and above all, patient. I was not the easiest client - being 22 years older than the next oldest participant, but, Giorgio never let me feel I was a drag, always helped me over the rocky bits, included me and was the epitome of kindness and consideration. The trip was great. Good diversity of days - some energetic, some less so. All the hotels were super comfortable and so was our little mini bus. The sites we saw were all interesting and beautiful and the scenary was amazing. The history of the region is dense and complex and I need to do more reading to appreciate what I saw. It would be useful to have a more extensive reading list. We were a small group of 4. There were no fights - that I know of! And we all collaborated well, and took an in depth appreciation of what we saw and heard. I think my highlight was the small group of musicians we saw and heard in Telavi. Truly beautiful a capella singing. Personally I could have done with a bit more ‘shopping time’, especially for fabrics and rugs, but that’s just a motivation to go back again!

"A very well organized trip with good guides! Unfortunately a bit heavy on monasteries and churches. Instead, you could also include brutalist architecture (which is just as much a part of these cultures) and abandoned copper mines, for example.

"The tour was good overall, but there wasn't much to do in Mestia and Ushguli other than the hikes, which I would have enjoyed more if they hadn't been quite so difficult. And the roads to get to these destinations were rather treacherous and would have been even more so if the weather had been bad. I know we all agreed to go an excursion to an abandoned solarium near Kutaisi, but IMO, it was a waste of time, even though our guide highly recommended it.

Demographics
Our solo travelers really connect with the small group wine tours through Georgia. You'll join 4-8 other explorers and stay in family guesthouses where the hosts treat you like one of their own. The cultural walks through Pankisi Valley are a customer favorite - local guides your age share their family stories and traditions while you explore together. In Azerbaijan, we've got this great route through old villages like Lahij where you'll sit down with local artisans to make yogurt and share stories over tea. Solo travelers tell us they love how the Georgia discovery tours give them freedom to wander Tbilisi's old streets on their own, with an expert guide nearby when needed.
Our premium tours across Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan hit just the right notes for couples. You'll stay in converted mansions with views of Tbilisi's presidential palace and enjoy private dinners with winemaking families who've been crafting wines for generations in Kakheti. The mountain tours in Georgia add a romantic touch - think cozy guesthouses overlooking Mt Kazbegi and intimate tastings of house-made wines and brandies. Couples tell us they love how we handle all the planning while giving them space to linger at cafes, take detours or discover their own special spots along the way.
Active young travelers love our hiking tours that mix serious trekking with local culture. You'll tackle real challenges like the 2,170-meter climb to Gergeti Trinity Church and explore the medieval villages of Svaneti on foot. The trips include nights in mountain communities where you'll try your hand at traditional felt-making and join in authentic polyphonic singing. Georgia's hiking routes are especially popular - you get solid walking days mixed with cool dips in mountain streams and relaxing soaks in Tbilisi's sulfur baths. Young travelers tell us these trips hit the sweet spot: proper hiking combined with hands-on experiences like making churchkhela sweets and learning Georgian bread-making from local families.
Our well-paced heritage tours really resonate with senior travelers. We've carefully chosen hotels near main sites and comfortable transport between stops. The Azerbaijan and Georgia route is particularly popular, taking in UNESCO treasures like Gobustan's ancient rock art and Georgia's first capital Mtskheta. The guides know exactly how to adjust the pace, making sure everyone can fully experience key sites like Gergeti Trinity Church - we've got 4WD vehicles ready for the steeper parts. Senior travelers often mention how much they enjoy the cultural side: learning traditional crafts, exploring local markets and meeting families who share stories of winemaking passed down through generations.
