For the Tbilisi stay, we usually accommodate our guests at Heritage Hotel and Suites (or a similar 4 star hotel, depending on availability).

At the current solo price of US$1,721, will I have a private room for all 9 nights?

How many other travellers are currently booked for this departure? I would prefer to travel with a group rather than be the only guest.

Will this be the same itinerary for December if we want to visit? Are any attractions closed during this time? Since I am vegetarian, can the diet restrictions be accommodated? I would also like the details on the hotel accommodations.

The 10-day itinerary can be arranged for December as well. The itinerary will generally remain the same, but some adjustments may be necessary depending on weather and road conditions, particularly in the mountain regions. Most attractions remain open in December, although certain outdoor sites may be affected by snow or bad weather. Being vegetarian is absolutely fine. We can accommodate a vegetarian diet throughout the tour and will inform the hotels and restaurants in advance. For the accommodation, we use comfortable 3–4 star hotels in good locations. The exact hotels depend on availability for your travel dates, and we can provide the confirmed hotel details once the booking is finalized.

Where do we meet on the first day?

If you are staying in Tbilisi one night before the tour, we will pick you up directly from your hotel on the first day. Please send us your hotel name and address once you have it.

Can I share a room with my friend who has already paid for the trip? What is the price of the shared room?

Yes, it is possible to share a room with your friend. You can simply make your reservation for one person and choose the shared/twin room option. We will arrange the room so that you stay together. The shared room price is the standard twin-room price, with no single-room supplement.

Would it be possible to get a further discount for the "Georgia – 10 Days: Combined Mountains and Sea" trip?

At the moment, unfortunately, we don't have any further discount available for the Georgia – 10 Days: Combined Mountains and Sea trip. The current price is already our best available rate.

As a solo traveler, which trip (amongst the 23rd august, 26th and 29th) has the highest change to be confirmed? Are there other travelers in any of those Tours?

Among the available departure dates, I would recommend 29 August, as this departure is guaranteed to operate. You are very welcome to join as a solo traveler. The departures on 23 and 26 August are not currently guaranteed, so 29 August would be the safest option if you would like to have certainty that the tour will go ahead.

I'm flying from London. The itinerary says to be at old town for 10am on the 11th but I was wondering if it would be possible to add stay at the hotel for the 10th? So I can fly in the day before? I'm trying to find some suitable flights from London and the journey is longer than I had anticipated with layovers. Otherwise do you have any other hotel recommendations?

Yes, of course. We can arrange an extra night's stay at the same hotel for the 10th, so you can arrive the day before and be well rested before the tour starts at 10:00 AM on the 11th. The additional cost for the extra night is $90, including breakfast, and it can be paid in cash upon arrival. If you prefer, we can also recommend other nearby hotels to suit your budget, but staying at the tour hotel is the most convenient option since the tour begins there.

Georgia is a beautiful country with so much to offer, from its breathtaking scenery and rich history to the warmth and hospitality of its people. Our journey was made even more special by Glad Travel Georgia. Before the trip, we were in contact with several tour operators, but we chose GTG because they were exceptionally responsive, providing quick feedback and precise information whenever we had questions. Our guide and driver, Levan, was excellent throughout the entire trip. He speaks very good English, is a safe and skilled driver, and has great knowledge of Georgian history and culture. He was also very patient, friendly, and accommodating with all our requests. The long drives felt much easier and shorter because of his good communication and friendly personality. Itinerary Day 1 was a smorgasbord of delights. Great start. Day 2 - full of interest. Day 3. Probably you can improve on the choice of wine tasting venue. We got our samples - out of a tap on huge stainless steel vats, but impossible to hear or learn anything. Essentially just a procession of tourists on tour. Considering the importance of Georgia to world wine-making, this is not a good place to show off Georgia´s heritage. The rest of the day was very good. Day 4. The itinerary could be improved. Kutaisi is not a showcase city of modern Georgia, but it is fascinating with its Soviet remnants. More could be made of this, such as sights of life from those times - houses, factories, shops, for example. And this should include the former Soviet resort attractions and sanatoriums around Tskaltubo. We stopped at none of these, so we are just left with enticing images on Google Maps. Martvili Canyon is interesting enough. Prometheus Cave much less so - its cacophony of lights and blaring music trying to create mood in what is really quite an ordinary cave experience. We did not get the dinosaur footprints tour, but that would be easily replaced anyway by more emphasis in the Kutaisi region on Soviet lifestyle and its consequences today. Day 5 was an enthralling journey. Try to find something better that the Mikheil Khergiani Museum with its dim and aging exhibits and essentially nothing much in English. Yet Russians and Georgians would have interest. Bit lucky our guide was able to explain the ancient living conditions in the ground floor section. Day 6. The journey to Ushguli and the walk around the village - all good. Day 7. Good. Day 8. Good. Day 9. Good. Guide and the local operator (Glad Travel Georgia) Difficult to find a better guide and driver anywhere. Competent and professional, and deserves to be rewarded accordingly. Transfers to and from Airport - timely and reliable. Tourradar provides a messaging link which enables you to contact the local tour operator before or during the tour. Prompt and helpful service was provided, and they solicit progressive feedback during the tour. On just one occasion I made suggestions to improve a few aspects of communication, and action was applied seamlessly. Proficient use of English by both tour operator and driver/guide contributed to a smooth and enjoyable experience where topics and questions could be responded to in depth. Hotels Different clients want different types of hotels. Those provided for us were towards the high end. Priority is always required to go to big and comfortable beds, bathrooms where the water does what it is supposed to do, and wifi without problems. So it can be more of a Georgian travel experience to select hotels which are a little more consistent with Georgian travel hospitality. Location of hotels - Tbilisi. Very good, with plenty of local culture nearby. Kutaisi. Good, but the location in the city centre meant that it was not possible to explore the Soviet neighbourhoods which define Kutaisi. Mestia. I understand that the promised hotel was not available, and the one we ended up in had several issues, and entailed a long walk into town. Batumi. Available nearby were a range of walking options so that you could experience a range of features of the city. Meals We had many opportunities to sample Georgian dishes, largely chosen by our guide who found places that suited what we were looking for in local cuisine. Nevertheless, we never quite got to grips with why restaurant bills always got to be higher than expected when compared with the menu. Service charges? foreigner taxes? dodgy add-ons? Some more guidance is required, maybe simply by the guide just checking the bill. For the evening meal we explored what other meal options the locals used, and these were available near the hotels. Good. As a sidebar, we understood that it was crucial that we bought health insurance in Georgia before we left home, and that that would be checked upon arrival in Tbilisi Airport. Doh, no checking and no questions as we went through Passport Control, so not sure what the system really requires.Show more

Undoubtedly he contributed to making my experience something way more than I expected. Levan was super helpful, very knowledgeable, patient, kind and really interesting to speak with about many topics, particularly international matters and Georgia. He was a great guide and a very cautious and capable driver. He navigated those mountain roads brilliantly. He truly has a wonderful heart. He really ensured my time in and experiences of Georgia were enjoyable and they were. The tour itself was like being offered an unexpected banquet. I never realised how diverse and stunning Georgia is, including the majestic mountain ranges, the delightful villages, the waterfalls, caves and canyons, the Black Sea (Batumi) and Tbilisi. The longer than 5hour drives got a little tiring at times, but our conversations took care of them. I would highly recommend this Georgia mountain and sea tour. I didn’t know what to expect being with just Levan. I would happily do it all again. My friend and I booked the "10 Days Combined Mountains and Sea!" tour to get to know Georgia, and it was a nice experience. Our guide and driver, Levan, was absolutely perfect. He was highly knowledgeable, always on time, funny, and very flexible to our needs. The tour gave us a good idea of the whole country. The itinerary is packed, which means there are some long driving parts, and some of the streets can be quite challenging. However, Levan drove extremely safely the entire time, so we always felt comfortable and secure. We also really appreciated that we were given time in the afternoons to explore on our own. It was a good trip! If the weather and time allow, we would definitely do more hiking in the mountains next time.Show more

  December can actually be a beautiful time to visit Georgia, especially if you enjoy winter scenery and a festive atmosphere. Tbilisi is nicely decorated for Christmas and New Year, and the mountain regions can offer beautiful snowy landscapes. However, December is also winter season, so weather conditions can be unpredictable, particularly in the mountainous areas. Some roads and attractions may occasionally be affected by heavy snow, and certain summer activities may not be available. If you are comfortable with winter conditions and a more flexible itinerary, December can still be a wonderful time to experience Georgia.

  The 10-day itinerary can be arranged for December as well. The itinerary will generally remain the same, but some adjustments may be necessary depending on weather and road conditions, particularly in the mountain regions. Most attractions remain open in December, although certain outdoor sites may be affected by snow or bad weather. Being vegetarian is absolutely fine. We can accommodate a vegetarian diet throughout the tour and will inform the hotels and restaurants in advance. For the accommodation, we use comfortable 3–4 star hotels in good locations. The exact hotels depend on availability for your travel dates, and we can provide the confirmed hotel details once the booking is finalized.

  Yes, it will actually be easier for you and Rachida to split the cash payment between you rather than paying by credit card. For the trip, I would recommend bringing some US dollars, as they are very easy to exchange in Georgia. Euros are also fine and can be exchanged without any problem. It definitely makes sense to exchange some money into Georgian lari (GEL), as you will use local currency for small purchases, cafés, restaurants, markets, etc. Credit cards are widely accepted in most places, but it is always useful to have some cash in lari.
