I saw an additional fees of USD$340 - what is it for?

We will arrive in Baku on June 28th. Any chance you will do a trip then? Or do a private tour for 2 of us?

Unfortunately we do not plan to put any additional dates on 28th of June. As of private tour, please note that the price will be way too expensive than the one that you see in Tour Radar.

Is Mt Ararat in Armenia included in this tour?

At the moment we do not have a departure date in June. However, in the new year we will are expecting to open new dates.

When is a good time to book it? Do you already have bookings for this date, if yes, how many?

We recommend you book as soon as possible to secure your spot in the group. This is one of our best-selling tours and the spots in the groups sell out fast. Currently almost half of the group for the requested date is booked out.

I compared the tour on your website Penguintravel.com, and the on Tourradar. They have the same tour title, and the same starting date 12-September, but, the itinerary are reversed. Penguintravel.com start in Baku (day 1) and ends in Yerevan (day 12). Your tour on Tourradar start in Yerevan (day 1), and ends in Baku (day 11). Can you please clarify?

This tour gave me bad feelings. The first country, Armenia, the local guide lady was just doing her job, never show her welcome to group members, nor show her proud of her country. Even though she mentioned 3 important squares/park, the bus didn’t stop any of them, not even 5 minutes for photos. I guess they want us to visit these places on our own. The second country, Georgia, in a cold, windy, rainy day, the Penguin leading lady, local tour lady, missed the meeting time, because their food in a restaurant came out late, they were sitting and eating, while the on-time group members stood and waited outside nearby. The 3rd country, Azerbaijan, Penguin tour leader ignored way-early email warning from a group member, we were sent to a horrible place, like no one had lived there for months. Some members booked nearby hotels right away, dragged their luggage in a rainy night. Though the Azerbaijan local guide men was really, super good. Otherwise I will give this tour 1 star.Show more

This is my second tour with Penguin. Loved the first one to the Balkans last year. But this trip is below expectations. First of all, itinerary is very light, especially the Armenia part which we finish by 1:30 for two days. More cities can be added for Georgia and Azerbaijan. Second, the hotel in Baku was beyond horrible. The original 3 star hotel was changed to a zero or one star hotel. It was filthy, dirty, moldy, and basically inhabitable. Some tour members booked their own rooms in another hotel while some others had to suffer the misery. So far three weeks after the trip, Penguin has not responded back with any apologies or compensation.Show more

Our Penguin travel tour guide was lacking in communication. She did not clearly tell us the time we should be back to the bus and we were yelled at by her. She didn’t fill out her visa application correctly and was rejected at the airport. She was not at the hotel when we needed her help. The guide from Georgia did not take time to show us or explain the sites. The hotel that we stayed at Azerbaijan was rundown. The room was filthy, the bathroom filled with black mold in between the tiles. The bathroom fixtures were stained and very dirty. I have to request the comforter/blanket several times and they finally delivered after 11pm. Some of our tour group members left and booked a different hotel. Since it was so late, we didn’t feel comfortable going to find another hotel. But I barely slept. I request some kind of compensation from Tour radar or Penguin travel.Show more

  The Mount Ararat is visible from Khor Virap monastery, which we will visit on Day 11 from our itinerary. But we do not visit it specifically as it is on the territory of Turkey. We have a date, starting from 31st of August. We will open that date for bookings after New Year on Tour Radar. So, my advice is to follow Tour Radar's website constantly so you can proceed with the booking (if that date is fine for you).

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
