Please can you advise cost for 1 single room for the 04 Oct departure

We don't have a Single Room option for our Japan tours. The Japan Essentials tour is designed for youth travel with a focus on maximising a smaller budget than our Japan Classic Tour. If a single room is 100% a requirement then I suggest to look at our South Korea Classic tour which does feature a single room upgrade.

I have children that are 13, 15, 17 and 19 that I would like to take on a trip. I see that it doesn't allow for children. Is there any reason why?

Yes that is correct the minimum age for our tours is 18 years old. Our business offers tours that are designed for people aged 18-39 (Essential Tours ) and 18-59 (Classics), sticking to our age policies help us better manage group dynamics and ensure the experience meets the expectations of everyone travelling with us. Additionally the age policies are in place due to insurance policies.

I want to travel with my son who is 26 years old and I am 62. We have traveled together in the past and want to know if age is restricted to 39 yo or if this the recommended age for this group tour.

Unfortunately this tour does have an age policy of 18-39 and therefore we wouldn't be able to accept this booking.

Do you have a similar trip for all age groups? This trip age bracket is max 39 years old.

We do accept travellers from 18 to 59 on our Japan Classic 10 or 14 day adventures. If you are over 59 unfortunately we wouldn't have any tours available right now.

Is it possible to get private rooms? How much more would that cost for the trip?

Unfortunately we don't offer Single Rooms on our Japan tours so it will be shared. With the essentials tour we optimise multishare hostel rooms as out essentials tour is designed to be friendlier to the budget, whilst still providing an unforgettable experience. With our Japan Classic tour whilst it doesn't have private rooms there are Twin Rooms (you would share with someone of the same gender) as well as other unique rooming options which include; Twin/Triple Traditional Mats - This will be 1 night in a traditional homestay and, a truly unique experience in an authentic Japanese Temple! Pods - Pod style beds in shared room

How much is a 1-year old child?

Our tours have an age policy of 18-40 for Essential tours so unfortunately we wont be able to accept 1 year old child on our tour.

I prefer to stay in a hotel room, not a dormitory. Also, my son is 11 years old.

Unfortunately we do have an age guideline of 18 to 59.

Just wanted to make sure if house accommodations are still based on gender, since I don't feel comfortable sleeping in the same room with the opposite gender.

Yes that's correct the homestay accommodation will also be based on gender. We ensure that all our accommodation offerings on all of our tours are still based on gender to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable.

Im interested in doing this tour but due to the age limit, I see it's not possible which understandable. Do you have the same or a similar tour for 45years plus with a similar budget? Traveling around the same time. Dorm rooms and shared rooms are okay, private would be preferred as I am a solo traveler. It doesn't need to be 5 star, just clean and comfortable. I see there are more people making the same enquiry about 45years plus. Im not wanting to do a family tour with children. Adults only.

If you choose to do the 14 day version it does include staying in Hiroshima and be taken around this area by our local guide to truly educate you on the area's astonishing past. View the Atomic Dome, ring the peace bell and say a prayer at the eternal flame. If you have the extra days, I would 100% recommend the 14 day option!

The tour included major sites such as Shibuya Crossing, Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, Bamboo Grove, Kiyomiza-dera, and much more. The month of May was a good time because there were no lines. Cameron was a fun tour guide; he made the trip comfortable, very accommodating, answered all of our questions, and provided any extra tips. I also enjoyed learning about the history of Japan on the tour and the amount of free time it included to allow you to do your own thing or rest as well. I absolutely recommend this trip.Show more

  The Classic Japan tour is more expensive than the Essentials as the accommodation offerings are better and also it includes more activities as part of the tour. If you can let me know your budget I can advise on tours that accept up to 59 year olds, and those that would include single upgrade.

Visa
- Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
- Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
Payment information
- For any tour departing before September 10th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after September 10th, 2026, a minimum payment of $250 is required to confirm your booking with One Life Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and One Life Adventures will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "One Life Adventures" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
- TourRadar is an authorized Agent of One Life Adventures. Please familiarize yourself with the One Life Adventures payment, cancellation and refund conditions.
