Casablanca to Rabat
Your first day in Morocco starts in Casablanca where you'll check out the Hassan II Mosque, one of the country's most iconic landmarks. From there, it's a short drive north to Rabat where you can walk through medieval ruins, see the historic gates, and spend time in the gardens before settling into your accommodation for the night.

- Day 2
Rabat to Tanger
Today takes you to Tanger, sitting right where Europe and Africa meet. The medina is worth a wander with its narrow streets and local life, and you'll find the trendy squares good for people watching. The Kasbah is compact but interesting to explore, and if you have energy, Cap Spartel and the Cave of Hercules are only about 15 to 20 minutes away.

- Day 3
Tanger to Chefchaouen
You can explore Tanger a bit more in the morning if you want, then drive toward Chefchaouen, the famous Blue City. There's an option to hike to Cascades d'Akchou waterfall if that appeals to you. Later in the day, walk around the medina's blue streets and watch the sun go down from the Spanish Mosque for some great views.

- Day 4
Volubilis - Meknes - Fes
Wake early for quiet photos in Chefchaouen before the crowds show up. Then it's a drive toward Fes with chances to stop at Volubilis, ancient Roman ruins, and Meknes, an imperial city with its own character. You'll arrive in Fes and check in to a beautiful riad for the night.

Fes
Spend your day in Fes el Bali, the old medina that holds one of the most complete medieval marketplaces in the Arab world. You'll see historic gates and mosques, visit madrasas, and watch artisans working in leather tanneries and ceramics workshops. It's the heart of old Fes.

Fes
Another full day in Fes el Bali lets you take a slower approach. Wander through the souks at your own pace, watch craftspeople work, and find the hidden corners that don't show up on maps. Visit more madrasas and explore the markets without rushing through everything.

- Day 7
Fes to Merzouga
Today's a long drive heading south through the Middle Atlas Mountains where cedar forests line the route. You'll stop to see Barbary macaque monkeys in their natural habitat. From there, drive through the Ziz Valley with its oases and kasbahs, stop in Erfoud to learn how they mine fossils, and finally reach the Sahara for a camel ride and a night in a Bedouin camp.

Merzouga to Todra Gorge
If you're up for it, catch the sunrise over the dunes. Then explore the Sahara with options for sand boarding or quad ATV tours if those interest you. Visit the traditional Khamleya village where you can hear music and drumming, check out the Rissani market town, and finish by driving through desert landscape to Todra Gorge for an easy walk through the canyon.

Travel through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs passing through areas famous for rose cultivation. Stop at rose collectives in El Kelaa Mcgouna to see the local production, explore Ouarzazate with its film studios and cinema museum, then arrive at the UNESCO World Heritage kasbah of Ait Benhaddou for an evening walk around the site.

Ait Benhaddou to Marrakech
You'll cross the High Atlas Mountains today with views that include Mount Toubkal in the distance. There's a stop at an Argan Oil Cooperative where you can learn how locals produce this valuable oil. After descending into Marrakech, spend your evening exploring Jemaa el Fna Square with its musicians, performers, and food stalls.

Marrakech to Departure
Time to head home. The drive from Marrakech to Casablanca takes about 3.5 hours, and from there you'll catch your flight. You're leaving with memories and probably a bag full of souvenirs from your time in Morocco.
