    Asked on January 18th, 2026

The last day of this tour everyone gets transported to the airport however I want to stay in Geneva and complete the Stoos Ridge hike. I dont think doing that in the morning will give me enough time to complete everything before the airport transfer. Is it possible for me to stay in that hotel for another night? What do you suggest?

    Accommodation
    Tour Details
    • OpenUp Swiss Travel ExperienceOperatorWritten January 2026

On the last night of the tour (Friday), all travelers will stay at the Hotel Cornavin in Geneva. You are welcome to book an additional night at the same hotel for Saturday, which will be more cost-effective and help avoid extra transfer fees. That said, I would personally recommend hiking the Stoos Ridge before the tour begins, shortly after your arrival in Zurich. It is much closer and more convenient than traveling there from Geneva. Sunday is the arrival day in Zurich, when travelers check into the hotel. The meeting with the Tour leader and the start of the excursion program take place on Monday at 8:50 AM, after breakfast and hotel check-out.

So should I come a day early? Or do it the check in day? Im just worried that my flight will arrive later on the arrival day with free time and I will lose my chance. What do you think?

    • OpenUp Swiss Travel ExperienceOperatorWritten January 2026

If you have a long flight to Switzerland, we recommend arriving in Zurich on Saturday and spending an extra night at the 4★ Hotel Züri by Fassbind to adjust to the time zone and recover from jet lag. On Sunday, you can plan a hike along the Stoos Ridge, and then join our excursion program on Monday morning feeling well-rested and ready to explore.

Do you have triple room sharing (3 Adults) please for tour in Switzerland?

    Accommodation

    • OpenUp Swiss Travel ExperienceOperatorWritten January 2026

You can book a triple room (with three separate beds) for your accommodation during the tour. The quote on April 26-May 2, 2026, is 1699 euros per person in a triple room. Our priority is organizing small group tours in Switzerland for groups of 4 to 16 travelers. Guests stay in 4-star hotels with breakfast included and enjoy relaxing moments by picturesque Swiss lakes and breathtaking mountain scenery. Throughout the journey, we provide full transportation services in a comfortable Mercedes-Benz minivan or minibus.

I noticed that the fare per head is Euro1699 per head for triple room. While, in USD it's 1977 per head for Twin Sharing room. Is possible to quote in USD for comparison please? Is the price higher for Triple rate? Suppose to be slightly cheaper I think?

    • R

      Ronald

      TravelerWritten January 2026

Do you have any tour covering, Lucerene, Interlake, Jungfraujoch, Mt. Rigi, St. Moritz (Glacier? still able to see snow?) or Apls? Roughly how persons in a group please?

    • OpenUp Swiss Travel ExperienceOperatorWritten January 2026

As a Swiss tour operator, we don't quote prices in US dollars. This allows us to keep our prices stable and fixed in Euros throughout the entire year. The quote on April 26-May 2, 2026, is 1699 euros per person in a triple room. The quote on April 26-May 2, 2026, is 1799 euros per person in a double room. The quote on April 26-May 2, 2026, is 2099 euros per person in a single room. Of course, staying in a triple room will always cost less per person than staying in a double room. Our priority is organizing small group tours in Switzerland for groups of 4 to 16. There are currently 4 travelers confirmed on the Swiss Miracle Tour from April 26 to May 2, 2026.

    • OpenUp Swiss Travel ExperienceOperatorWritten January 2026

During the tour, we will definitely visit Lucerne and the Interlaken region. At the end of April, most Swiss Alpine peaks are still covered in snow. If you would like to travel on the Glacier Express, you will need to plan an additional two days before the start of our tour in Zurich. Visits to mountain peaks by cable car or train are available as optional excursions. We always recommend planning expensive mountain trips no earlier than 2–3 days in advance, once an accurate weather forecast is available. On sunny days, excursions to places such as the Jungfraujoch, Mt. Rigi, or Mt. Pilatus, Chamonix-Mont-Blanc are wonderful experiences. However, in cloudy or rainy weather, visibility at the summit is often very limited, even though ticket prices remain the same. Therefore, if you dream of visiting mountain peaks and are flexible with your arrival date, the best option is to arrive in Zurich a bit earlier, on Friday or Saturday. This will give you more opportunities to enjoy sunny weather for mountain excursions.

we are coming to Zurich on June 13. and want to stay in the same hotel we are going to stay with you on June 14. Can you give us the name of the hotel please? And maybe take us from airport on 13 to that hotel? Also, We are not staying last night with the group on June 19-20. We are leaving at 8 pm to Copenhagen on June 19. Will you be able to take us to airport on 19th? and not charge us for the last night hotel room?

    • OpenUp Swiss Travel ExperienceOperatorWritten January 2026

We can add an extra night in Zurich on June 13th at the 4★ Hotel Zuri Fassbind Zurich, instead of the overnight stay in Geneva on June 19th. In this case, the tour price will remain unchanged. We will also meet you at Zurich Airport on June 13th. On Friday, June 19th, at the end of the excursion program (approximately 4:30–5:00 PM), we will be happy to transfer you to Geneva Airport.

    • OpenUp Swiss Travel ExperienceOperatorWritten January 2026

There's no need to call our driver before or after your flight — this number is simply an emergency contact, just in case. Our driver will be waiting for you at the arrivals zone of Zurich Airport, holding an OPEN UP meeting board. Only if you don't see the driver right away, feel free to call the emergency number so we can assist you immediately.

    • OpenUp Swiss Travel ExperienceOperatorWritten January 2026

You will see all the major highlights between Zurich and Geneva on our tour. However, planning mountain excursions that involve expensive cable car and train tickets requires confidence in having good, sunny weather. This can only be determined 2–3 days in advance. For this reason, I recommend focusing on the main tour program first, including the Valley of Waterfalls and the gorge, and making a final decision about high-altitude mountain trips after arriving in Switzerland. For a trip to Switzerland in mid-April, we strongly recommend bringing boots and warm clothing, including a warm jacket, hat, and gloves. Evening temperatures can still be quite cool, dropping to around 5°C.

Regarding Day 5 and the potential excursion to Chamonix–Mont-Blanc: if the majority of group tour participants choose this option and the weather conditions are favorable, we will be happy to confirm this optional day tour for you. It will include full transportation as well as cable car and train tickets.

You can easily apply your promo code when making a booking on TourRadar. On the checkout page, you'll see a field labeled "Promo Code" (or "Apply a Discount Code"). Enter your code exactly as it appears, then click "Apply." The discount will automatically appear in your price breakdown before you finalize your booking. Depending on the promo code, the discount may represent either a fixed monetary amount (e.g., $100 off) or a percentage discount (e.g., 10% off). You'll see the exact value reflected under the price breakdown section when the code is successfully applied. Promo codes must be applied before completing your booking, as they can't be added retroactively to confirmed reservations.

Now possibly thinking of coming in June. Would it be more likely that weather will be better to do the mountain tours? If so, do i book those tours in advance through you or still wait until we get to Switzerland?

    • OpenUp Swiss Travel ExperienceOperatorWritten January 2026

June typically has more sunny days than April, but no one can guarantee sunny weather on your specific travel date. First of all, book your weekly Tour in advance, and reserve all optional mountain tours upon arrival in Switzerland.

i am not able to select 2 double rooms. it just lets me pick "Double room" and then i have to enter "number of travellers".so do i just select 4 travellers? i want to make sure we have 2 seperate rooms.

    • OpenUp Swiss Travel ExperienceOperatorWritten January 2026

You're absolutely right. Select a double room, then enter 4 travelers. The booking system will automatically allocate two double rooms for your group of four. It will be 2 separate DBL rooms for you.

A triple room means three separate beds. Senior travelers typically make up about half of the group, and we apply the same standard rates to all age groups. Trains from Geneva to Zurich (including Zurich Airport) depart every hour. For a one-way journey from Geneva to Zurich, we recommend purchasing a Supersaver ticket in advance—ideally 2 to 3 months before travel—to benefit from the best possible discount.
