Cost to upgrade, to avoid camping.

    Accommodation
    Price / Availability
    • Lupita OverlandOperatorWritten March 2026

Regarding your question about the accommodations: on this specific 10-day trip, we only spend two nights camping. While our camping setup is "5-star" (we provide all gear including comfortable air mattresses, and the site has great green areas, hot showers, and very clean facilities), we understand some travelers prefer a solid roof over their heads!

The same eco-lodge where we camp does offer private cabins. We can most likely book those for you in advance. The extra cost would be approximately $250 USD total for both nights (for 2 adults), and you can simply pay this balance once you are on the trip.

Any chance you'll be offering this trip in February?

    • Lupita OverlandOperatorWritten March 2026

We actually have another departure starting **November 7th**... would you be interested in that one? We are currently gathering a waiting list to see if we can reach the minimum of 6 pax.

Regarding February, we don't have any scheduled departures at the moment, but we might consider opening a new date to see if we can gather enough interest to reach the 6-pax minimum.
It would take us a little bit of time to upload all the data and logistics onto the platform for a new month, but it's definitely something we can look into. **What specific dates in February were you thinking of?**

what is the best way to get to San Cristobal? We live in London (UK).

    Flights / Transfers
    • Lupita OverlandOperatorWritten September 2023

To reach San Cristóbal, your best option is to take a flight to "Aeropuerto Internacional Angel Albino Corzo (TGZ)." Once you arrive there, we will arrange an airport transfer, which is included in your tour package. The transfer typically takes around 1 to 1.5 hours.
