  All accommodations were excellent and located close to all the sites and town centres. Breakfasts were very good and hotels staff were friendly and very helpful. Using the tour group made our planning very easy. Staff responded to all my questions very quickly and resolved one minor issue within a day. Excellent group.Show more

  Overall tour offered was quite good and hotel was comfortable and in a nice location. A couple of the individual tours may need to be reviewed as well as the tour advertising on your site as what is advertised and what happens can vary markedly (this extends to a number of your advertised tours). Duomo and Uffuzi tours were back-to-back which left us minimal time for a break and freshen up. Also, the advertised meeting point was incorrect and the tour operator advised they have noted this with your firm previously - this nearly caused us to miss our first tour. The Tuscany tour mainly left us to our own devices for the day in three different towns - a walking tour in Siena lasted less than 1 hour, and the wine tasting was simply that. No involvement or explanations on how they produce the wine or tour of the plant, purely a tasting of overpriced wine. Your tour structure is great with something interesting to do each day but a review of these tours and the operators might prove beneficial. Timing of individual tours on the same day may need to be reviewed as well to ensure there is some time between each.Show more

  Must note here that there weren't any issues with the Sorrento leg of the tour - everything was great and the hotel was in a perfect location just on the edge of town going up the hill. Minor issue - the tour guide we had at the Isle of Capri seemed disinterested and rushed us through the early part of the day for no real reason, not allowing us time to explore the Anacapri area properly. Rome was a different beast. The train transfer to Rome saw us getting collected from the hotel at 8-30am for an 11-30 train - only 1 hour travel time from Sorrento to Naples. We were also meant to be on a high speed train but ended up booked on a regional train, getting us to Rome at 2pm. We then had to scramble to the hotel to check in, then get across the city for a 3pm walking tour - not a lot of time allowed here. Hotel was not really in the best location - dirty streets, lots of graffiti, close to the train station and not a safe looking area with a lot of police around in the evenings. Provided transfers from the station to the hotel and back were effectively a waste as the driver seemed to circle the block twice to fill in some time. Vatican tour was advertised to us as 2-30pm then changed to 3pm. We were there in plenty of time to find out it was a 3-30pm tour. Tour guide advised we could enter St Paul's Cathedral after the tour (despite being advised it was a 4 hour tour it finished at 5-50pm). Unfortunately the Cathedral was closed to the public daily at 6pm - this was not advised and we missed the opportunity to enter as we were interacting with the guide after the tour finished and taking some photos in the square. A few of the day tours we did had times changed at the last minute via email advices to us - this was after the 8 day tour had already started so this caused some angst as we had to reschedule or cut short other activities at the last minute.
