Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Trichy
You'll land at Trichy airport and get transferred to your hotel. Once you've had breakfast, head over to Rock Fort Temple where you can take in views of the city from up there. From there, you'll visit Srirangam Temple, which is a major spiritual site, and then check out the ancient Jambukeswaraj Temple. The evening is free to wander through local markets and try some South Indian food, so you can get a real sense of what the area's like.

Great Living Chola Temples
After breakfast, you're heading out for a full day touring the UNESCO World Heritage Great Living Chola Temples. Start with Brihadeeswarar Temple in Thanjavur to see the architecture and detailed carvings up close. Next, you'll go to Gangaikonda Cholapuram Temple, which is rich in history and culture. Later in the day, finish at Airavatesvara Temple in Darasuram where you can spend time looking at the carved details and frescoes throughout the complex.
