  Some areas for improvement but for this part of the world it was really well organized. The manager was very fast to respond to messages both on here and on WhatsApp. Piece of advice for travelers, make sure you know what you paid for, as there were several mix-ups about that (eg they kept trying to put me in a shared room when I had paid a single supplement, hotels saying breakfast was included when it wasn't), but if you keep track of what your agreement says they will fix it. There was also a switch-up where I signed up for a day tour and the one I was given is not the one I signed up for; I would have liked to be asked in advance if that was OK instead of surprised by it. Advice to the tour operator, please include a packing list. Several times I was advised to bring something on a day tour that I was not aware I needed, such as a headlamp or boots. Also, the first day at the Tsingy was very strenuous and NOT for people who have any fear of heights--fortunately this was OK for my group but I think people should be aware of this before they sign up. The hotels were nice and we were easily able to find vegetarian meals everywhere we went. The guides were good and the drivers were really impressive getting us through difficult terrain. Anyways this is a great way to see the highlights of Madagascar in a small amount of time, so I would recommend it for people who are comfortable traveling in sub-Saharan Africa.Show more

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Madagascar Experience! I had an amazing experience on this tour from start to finish. A special thank you to Astride for organizing everything so well and making the entire trip smooth and enjoyable. My guide, Lia, was phenomenal! He was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and professional, and truly went above and beyond to make my trip a memorable and enjoyable experience. His warmth, knowledge, and dedication made such a difference throughout the journey, and I really appreciated having him as my guide. A special thanks as well to Rova for the wonderful city tour of Antananarivo. It was a great opportunity to experience the city and learn more about its history, culture, and people. Overall, I had a fantastic time in Madagascar and came away with some incredible memories. Thank you to Lia, Rova, Astride, and everyone involved in making this such a special experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to discover the beauty and culture of Madagascar!Show more

  I had a fantastic Baobab Safari with Travelia Safari in July 26. Everything was very well organized from start to finish, communication was excellent, and they really made an effort to tailor the trip to my interests. My guides, Finitra (Morondava–Tsingy) and Carolle (Antananarivo), were both exceptional. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel welcome throughout the trip. Watching the sunset at the Avenue of the Baobabs was already a highlight, but Finitra’s local knowledge, perfect timing, and insider tips made it even more memorable. I highly recommend Travelia Safari if you’re looking for a professional, personalized, and unforgettable experience in Madagascar!Show more

  A fabulous experience and incredible landscape to see the west coast Baobabs and Tsingy. And great cultural and historical insight as part of the capital city tour. Travelia Safari have been a great company to deal with. They helped to accommodate tailoring of this tour, very responsive with administration. And the tour guides we had were helpful, friendly and had lots of great insight and stories. We have booked another tour to the east of Madagascar with Travelia!   We booked our trip with Travelia Safari and were very happy with the overall experience. We are travellers from Germany. From the very beginning, communication was excellent. We first got in touch with Aristide and he was highly responsive and attentive to all our wishes. The itinerary was adjusted several times to match our preferences, and everything was handled in a very transparent and professional way. The planning and organization were very well done. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by our guide and driver. Eric was our guide for the first days, and he picked us up punctually and safely brought us to the hotel. Everything was smooth and well organized from the start. On the following day, we continued our journey with a larger vehicle, a new driver, and Eric (Young Guide). The guide spoke excellent English and clearly had a lot of knowledge and experience. He explained everything in detail, answered all our questions, and stayed with us throughout the trip. As we had booked a private tour, the itinerary was very flexible, and he was always happy to stop whenever we wanted to take photos or explore places further. It was a great experience. The driver (Manoa) also drove very safely, was reliable, and always attentive to our needs. Even on a long 10-hour return journey, he remained patient, calm, and professional. The car was also very clean, which reflected a high standard of service. During the trip in the east, we also noticed that all the hotels were consistently of a very high standard—mostly four-star or luxury level—and the restaurants selected were clearly tourist-oriented but always of good quality. The overall selection and standard of accommodation and dining was very well chosen. Later, we flew to the west of Madagascar, where we were welcomed by a new guide, Liantsoa, and another driver. This day in Morondava became one of the highlights of the entire trip. Once again, all our wishes were taken into account. We were able to use Riksha, Zebu and, visit places freely, and stop wherever we wanted. Lina, who grew up locally, was extremely knowledgeable and shared many personal insights. He even guided us through Kirindy Forest, explaining the area from his own experience. It was a very memorable and enriching day with a passionate and experienced guide. During the planning, we also had a situation where the original hotel near Kirindy did not fully meet our expectations. When we asked whether the plan could be adjusted to reduce wildlife exposure and instead do a day trip, the team agreed without hesitation and rearranged the itinerary accordingly. They even replaced the originally planned hotel and arranged an upgrade, which felt like a thoughtful surprise and made us very happy. We also changed our plans on the last day and cancelled a planned day tour in Antananarivo and this was handled without any issues. Throughout the journey, whenever we expressed concerns or special wishes—whether about comfort, rest, or scheduling—they always responded immediately and found practical solutions. Their flexibility and willingness to adapt truly stood out. After the trip, everything was also well organized for our return. We were safely brought back to the capital, picked up from our hotel, and transferred to the international airport without any issues. Overall, although it is a local company, which initially gave us some uncertainty, the service met an international standard in terms of punctuality, cleanliness, organization, and reliability. We can 100% recommend Travelia Safari. Special thanks to Aristide, Eric and Liantsoa for making our trip so special. We returned home with wonderful memories and always felt safe and well taken care of.Show more

  What an amazing experience on the Baobab safari. Learnt so much about the people, the country and the wildlife. Tovo was a fantastic guide, a great ambassador for his country. Our driver was highly skilled on the dirt roads. Accommodation was good, they even changed a hotel because of the unrest in Antananarivo. Tovo went above and beyond to help us find medication and a doctor when my husband became ill. Highly recommend this company, and this tour.Show more

  This is a once in a lifetime experience. If you have the opportunity it’s an unforgettable trip. The tour is amazing from beginning to end, Madagascar has so many wonders to see. The guide, Tovo, is the perfect guide: he has full knowledge of anything you ask about the culture, tradition, flora, fauna or history of all the places, he guided me though the rich history of the country and helped me make the best possible visit. Im very grateful for the experience. Mihail, the driver, made us feel safe being very careful and resilient through the bad-shaped roads of some regions of the island. Great driver very professional. Both put a lot of personal effort to make the experience unbelievable, I’m still impressed with that.Show more
