  This safari tour with SkyHaven Tours was awesome. 10 out of 10. Each park had its own unique beauty, and we saw all the game possible in incredible numbers. Our guide, Wasantha, was knowledgeable and made sure we were always well taken care of while helping us see the best sights. Every lodge we stayed in was 4-star or better. The tent experience was “glamping” and a lot of fun. At no point did we have any concerns, except maybe that we hadn’t tipped enough! In addition to the game drives, we were able to visit some very important cultural and Buddhist sites in Sri Lanka, which was another highlight of the trip. Visiting a working tea factory and tasting Ceylon tea was also a great experience. The trek through Horton Plains National Park was amazing. you walk through a cool climate and hardly feel tired, and the views at the end are fantastic. We also upgraded to include a balloon ride, and it was absolutely worth the extra cost. I would definitely recommend this tour.Show more

  Sri Lanka has some wonderful scenery, especially in the hills around Kandy and Ella. the views are endless and unforgettable. Wildlife sightings are quite common; I was able to spot leopards, bears, elephants, and many birds. In Minneriya, there is a large elephant population, and I was lucky enough to see some baby tuskers up close. For the entire journey, I had a very comfortable car and a wonderful driver named Wasantha. He drove me safely throughout the tour and handled all the arrangements, coordinating with safari drivers and hotels to make sure I had the best possible experience in Sri Lanka. He was kind, respectful, and very hospitable. The overall quality of tourism accommodations and services is very high. I highly recommend booking with SkyHaven Tours. I traveled solo and would definitely recommend that as well.Show more

  Overall, Sri Lanka was an incredible experience. Everyone we met. from strangers to lodge staff was friendly, accommodating, and always went above and beyond. Driving through the parks was surreal. We felt truly fortunate to be there, witnessing the animals in their natural habitat, along with the stunning landscapes. We never felt unsafe at any point. only welcomed.   Sri Lanka is an absolute dream come true! Everyone should try to go on a safari tour in Sri Lanka. it was a once-in-a-lifetime trip. I was so impressed with the variety of wildlife we were able to see in only three full days. It was clear we were not disturbing the animals, as they were simply going about their normal business. Going in the off-peak season meant there were fewer people in the park, but we still managed to see all the iconic animals and more. SkyHaven was very responsive, answered all our questions, and accommodated our requests, and the guide was excellent.Show more

  We chose to go on safari in Sri Lanka based on feedback from friends and family, including someone who had just visited Sri Lanka and done a safari. Their descriptions were so beautiful that we decided to look into it and it was truly magnificent. We were able to fly direct from Melbourne to Colombo via SriLankan Airlines and experience five national parks. The landscape at each one was unique and different. We saw an abundance of animals and birds. The people, the places we stayed, and everyone we interacted with were just wonderful. We’re telling everyone we know it’s a trip of a lifetime.Show more

  Our entire Sri Lanka trip was perfect from start to finish. Our safari guide, Kesara, was knowledgeable, considerate, and kind, and made our entire experience above and beyond comfortable. We visited four national parks (Yala, Wilpattu, Horton Plains, and Minneriya), with lots of road travel along the way. We saw hundreds of animals at every stop and got to experience so much of the Sri Lankan countryside. Kesara shared his knowledge of the parks, Sri Lankan culture, and wildlife, and went out of his way to make sure we saw the best that nature had to offer each day. We learned so much about the native species, birds, and animals because of his expertise. We left with full hearts and full bellies every single day. We are forever grateful we booked with SkyHaven Tours and were fortunate to have Kesara as our guide.Show more

  I’ve done many safaris over the past 50 years across different African countries, but my most recent and first trip to Sri Lanka was the best ever. SkyHaven Tours surpassed all my expectations and delivered a top-quality 18-day journey that still leaves me in awe. We saw monkeys in the trees, deer everywhere, sloth bears, and elephants in abundance. We even came across a family of Sri Lankan leopards, with more than three together! Hornbills, fish eagles, and serpent eagles were a real treat, along with countless colorful birds. A giant python crossed the road right in front of our jeep, iguanas were everywhere, and there were water buffaloes all around many with newborn calves which was incredible to witness. It was wonderful, amazing, and spectacular all at the same time.Show more

  Sri Lanka is a wonderful safari destination. The wide open plains make it easy to see animals without getting too close and disturbing them. The wildlife is also not too shy, so we had plenty of time to watch and take photos of them behaving naturally. We even had some amazing close encounters. We saw sloth bears and leopards walking right past our safari vehicle, sometimes coming very close. I don’t know many places where you can experience something like that. In Minneriya, we saw many elephants coming close to our jeep, but our safari driver always kept a safe and respectful distance. The roads between the parks are very good, and traveling from one place to another was a nice experience. We got to see more of Sri Lanka’s culture and different towns along the way. There were also plenty of good food options, with a mix of different cultures, so there was always something nice to try. The people are very friendly, polite, and welcoming, which made the trip even more enjoyable. Sri Lanka is truly a must-visit safari destination.Show more
