Itinerary
- Day 1
Extremadura to Lisbon
Your journey starts at 8:00 a.m. heading through Extremadura where you'll stop in Trujillo, a historic town known as the birthplace of Spanish conquerors. You get free time to walk around the Plaza Mayor and take in the old architecture. From there you'll cross into Portugal, and by evening you're checking into your Lisbon hotel. If you're interested in local culture, there's an optional Fado music show available that night.

- Day 2
Lisbon
After breakfast at your hotel, a guide takes you through Lisbon's historic spots including the Alfama Quarter with its narrow streets and tiles, the Tower of Belem standing by the water, and the Monastery of Los Jeronimos. The afternoon is yours to wander on your own and get a feel for the city. There's also an optional day trip available if you want to head out to Sintra, Estoril, and Cascais to see the palaces and coastal views.

- Day 3
Lisbon to Fatima
You'll head out after breakfast toward Fatima, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Europe. You have time to explore the area and visit the Shrine at your own pace, which sits at the heart of the town. Later in the day you make your way back to Lisbon where you'll spend the night.

- Day 4
Lisbon to Caceres to Sevilla
After breakfast, you travel to Caceres in Spain. You'll spend the morning and early afternoon checking out the Plaza Mayor and the medieval quarter, which is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage site with its walls and old buildings still intact. You're on your own for lunch. Then you continue south toward Andalucia and Sevilla, arriving in time for dinner and to settle into your hotel.

- Day 5
Sevilla
Following breakfast at your hotel, a guide shows you Sevilla's main attractions including Maria Luisa Park with its tree-lined paths, the Plaza de Espana with its curved architecture, the Cathedral and its famous Giralda bell tower, and the Santa Cruz neighborhood with its winding streets. The afternoon is open for you to explore whatever interests you. Dinner happens back at your hotel. If you want more activities, there are optional experiences like a river cruise on the Guadalquivir, a visit to the Maestranza bullring, or an evening flamenco show.

Sevilla to Cordoba
After breakfast you travel to Cordoba for a walking tour that starts at the Almodovar Gate, takes you through the Jewish Quarter with its historic buildings and narrow lanes, and brings you to the Mosque-Cathedral, a structure that blends two religions and time periods. The afternoon is yours to relax or explore more on your own. You'll have dinner and accommodations provided.

Cordoba to Costa del Sol
After breakfast, you head out to explore the Route of the White Villages and Ronda, spending time looking at the dramatic landscapes and white-walled towns perched on hillsides. The drive itself is part of the experience. You continue to Costa del Sol where you'll have dinner and check into your accommodations.

- Day 8
Costa del Sol to Granada
Breakfast comes first, then you head to Granada to see the Alhambra and Generalife, the palace complex from the Moorish kings with its fountains, gardens, and detailed arches showing Islamic design. It's quite intricate and there's a lot to take in. Dinner and a room are arranged for you. If you want something extra, there's an optional trip to the Sacromonte caves for a gypsy flamenco performance.

Granada to Valencia
After breakfast, you leave Granada and drive through Guadix, Baza, and Puerto Lumbreras, heading toward the Mediterranean coast. You arrive in Valencia and check in to your accommodations.

Valencia to Barcelona
You have breakfast and some time to yourself before heading out mid-morning toward Barcelona. Once you arrive, you'll check in and have the rest of the day to settle in and get oriented.

Barcelona
After breakfast, a guide takes you through Barcelona's main areas including Park Montjuic with its museums and views, the Olympic Ring from the 1992 games, the Columbus monument by the water, and the Gothic Quarter with its medieval buildings. You have the afternoon free to wander wherever you like. There's an optional night tour available if you want to see the wide avenues and illuminated fountains and buildings.

Barcelona to Madrid
After breakfast, you leave Barcelona and drive through Lerida and Zaragoza with some stops along the way if you want to get out and stretch or grab something to eat. You continue to Madrid where your tour ends and you go your separate ways.
