- Day 1
Lisbon
You'll arrive in Lisbon and get settled at your hotel with an airport transfer included. After you've had time to rest, head out on foot to explore the city center. Stop by the fish market to see what's fresh that day, and wander through traditional shops. Along the way, try some local specialties like Pastel de Nata (those custard tarts everyone talks about) and Ginjinha while you watch how locals go about their day.

- Day 2
Fatima
Starting after breakfast, you'll head north from Lisbon to Fatima to see the Our Lady of Fatima Basilica. The building was completed in 1953 at the location where religious apparitions happened in the early 20th century. Inside, check out the white marble interior and the tombs of the three children. From there, you can visit other apparition sites scattered throughout the town.

- Day 3
Sintra
After breakfast, you'll explore Sintra's major sites starting with Pena Palace and its Pena Park, which used to be a royal summer residence with all sorts of different architectural styles mixed together. Next, head to Quinta da Regaleira estate where you'll find initiation wells, lakes, fountains, and an aquarium to check out. Grab lunch in the historic village and then stop at a local patisserie to sample some pastries before finishing up at Monserrate Palace, which has its own eclectic design.

Lisbon to Porto
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and head to the train station to board your train to Porto. Once you arrive, you'll transfer to your hotel and get settled in for the next part of your trip.

- Day 5
Porto
Following breakfast, you'll explore Porto's history as a major port city sitting on the Douro River estuary. The bus will drop you in the historic Ribeira district where you can have traditional Portuguese lunch at a quaint café surrounded by medieval walls. Later, visit the Cálem wine cellars, which have been making premium port wines since 1859, and try white, dry, and ruby varieties. By late afternoon, you'll take an included Douro River cruise to see the city from the water as you pass under six of the city's bridges.

Douro Valley
After breakfast, you'll take a guided tour through the Douro Valley, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll visit a Port Wine Estate, sample three different wines, and have lunch overlooking the vineyards at a family-run wine estate. Before heading back to Porto, you'll unwind during a 1-hour Douro River cruise.

Porto to Albufeira
