Itinerary
- Day 1
Lisbon
Your driver will be waiting at Lisbon airport to take you to your hotel. Once you've settled in, spend the rest of the day getting to know the city center on your own. Walk through the fish market, check out some traditional shops, and definitely try a Pastel de Nata and a glass of Ginjinha while you're exploring.

Lisbon to Fátima
After breakfast, head north from Lisbon to Fátima. You'll visit the white marble interior of Our Lady of Fatima Basilica, which was completed in 1953 at the spot where religious apparitions occurred in the early 1900s. The basilica holds the tombs of the three children who reported seeing the Virgin Mary. Spend time walking through the various apparition sites scattered around town.

Lisbon to Sintra
Travel to Sintra after breakfast and start with Pena Palace, a former royal summer home set within exotic gardens and filled with different artistic styles. Then make your way to Quinta da Regaleira estate to see its initiation well, lakes, fountains, and aquarium. Take a lunch break walking through the historic village and grab something from a local patisserie. Finish at Monserrate Palace, another former Portuguese court summer residence with its own distinctive character.

Lisbon to Porto
Check out of your Lisbon hotel after breakfast and head to the train station. You'll board a train heading to Porto, and once you arrive, a transfer takes you to your hotel to get settled in for the night.

Porto
After breakfast, explore Porto using a hop-on hop-off bus system. You can get off in the medieval Ribeira district whenever you like and grab lunch at a local café serving traditional Portuguese food. From there, visit the Cales Câlem cellars, where they've been making port wine since 1859, and try their white, dry, and ruby varieties. Later, take a scenic cruise along the Douro River to see the city from the water as you pass under six of its bridges.

Porto to Douro Valley
Head into the Douro Valley after breakfast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its distinctive landscape. A guided tour of a Port Wine Estate includes sampling three different wines. You'll have lunch overlooking the vineyards at a family wine estate, then finish with a one-hour cruise on the Douro River in Pinho before heading back to Porto.
