Delightful trip on the Douro. Great to have a happy crew who assisted queries efficiently and with a smile. Food was great and we met some lovely fellow travellers. Entertainment on the last evening was hilarious. A Fado group, dancing initiated by the Hotel Manager, beautiful music by the resident pianist and a surprise karaoke by one of our fellow passengers. Songs we all knew meant lots of singing, smiles and memories to take away. I would sail on the Spirit of Chartwell again in a heartbeat.

A great trip up the Douro in Portugal on board the A Rosa Alva. Very impressed with the quality of service, meals and the very generous drinks list. We were the only english speaking couple but still managed to enjoy the time.

The staff onboard were amazing, and they went out of there way to make us feel welcome! I can not speak highly enough about them! However, the excursions were a bit of a mystery to us as we had been given very little information regarding them. They had several large groups onboard at the same time and the excursions seemed to be just for them🤷♀️
