Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Panama City
Your flight touches down in Panama as evening settles in. From the airport, you'll head straight to your hotel where you can settle in and rest up after the long journey. If you've arranged an early arrival, there's time to get oriented before the main group activities begin.

- Day 2
Panama Canal Partial Crossing
This morning you'll board a boat for a partial canal crossing that takes about 4 hours. The route goes from Panama City through the Miraflores Locks and across Lake Miraflores, then continues to the Pedro Miguel Locks and through Gaillard Cut before reaching Lake Gatun. By afternoon, you'll return to Panama City by bus.

- Day 3
Panama City Exploration
You'll walk through Panama City's historic areas, starting with the 16th-century ruins at Panama Viejo. From there, head to Casco Antiguo with its colonial architecture mixed with modern buildings and nearby green hills. Later, the Causeway gives you great city skyline views, and you can finish the day watching ships navigate through the Miraflores Locks.

El Valle de Anton
Heading west on the Panamericana, you'll reach El Valle de Anton, a mountain town sitting inside the world's largest populated volcanic crater. Stop at the local fruit and vegetable market to pick up tropical fruits. After that, you have options for short hikes to waterfalls, visits to pre-Columbian rock carvings, a butterfly farm, or soaking in warm mineral springs.

Natá de los Caballeros and Parita
Continue west to Natá de los Caballeros, one of Panama's oldest settlements, where you'll see a historic church built in 1520. After lunch, you'll learn how artisans craft traditional diablicos masks. Then visit a local home to watch craftspeople making polleras, the colorful traditional women's costumes, by hand.

Oria Arriba Village and Beach
In Oria Arriba, locals will welcome you with music and refreshments. You'll tour the village watching artisans make hats and musical instruments, and see an original horse-powered sugar cane mill in action. Lunch happens at a local home with mountain views. Later, head to the Pacific coast for beach time before returning to your hotel.

Travel to Boquete, a mountain village in Chiriquí province at 1,200m elevation where the climate feels like spring year-round. After wandering through the small village, you'll take a short afternoon hike where you might catch sight of the rare quetzal bird. Check in at your hotel and the rest of the day is yours to settle in.

Cloud Forest and Coffee Plantation
This morning includes a walk on suspension bridges high above the cloud forest with views of waterfalls below. In the afternoon, visit a coffee plantation to learn how they cultivate, harvest, and process the beans. You'll finish by tasting fresh coffee and understanding what makes the local crop special.

Oreba Chocolate Farm and Colón Island
Drive toward the Caribbean coast through the Cordillera de Talamanca to reach Almirante. Stop at Oreba Chocolate Farm, an organic cocoa operation, for a guided tour showing how cocoa becomes chocolate. You'll see Ngöbe Indian women at work and explore native plants and exotic animals before tasting raw chocolate. A boat takes you to Colón Island where you'll check into your hotel with free time to explore.

- Day 10
Bocas del Toro Boat Tour and Beaches
A boat trip through mangrove forests brings you to Coral Cay for snorkeling in calm waters year-round. From there, head to Bastimentos Island, which is mostly covered in jungle. Red Frog Beach is home to distinctive red poison dart frogs. You'll have time to swim, explore, or simply relax before returning to the main island.

Bocas del Toro Leisure Day
This day is free for your own exploration. Options include cycling to Playa Bluff, taking a bus to Boca del Drago, or using water cabs to visit other islands and beaches at your own pace. You can do as much or as little as you'd like.

Return to Panama City
The morning is yours if you want to book optional activities. In the afternoon, you'll transfer to the airport for your flight back to Panama City, then head to your hotel for one final night.

Departure
Head to the international airport during the day for your flight home. If you'd rather extend your trip, you can also arrange a beach extension to San Blas Islands or Isla Contadora instead of leaving.

Arrival Home
