We were dropped off around lunch time. The hotel staff were nice enough to order us a pizza. Travelers should be aware that the desert cities in Saudi Arabia are not well set up for tourists. Many things are closed until 4 pm. Our guide Nabil was very organised and kept the tour on schedule and we saw everything on the agenda. He was outstanding. Local guides at each city were excellent as well with their local knowledge.Witnessing the vast mosque at Medina was very special. The hotels for the 3&4 star tour were also excellent. The bus initially holding 13 tourists and the guide was big enough. Along with the train ride, you will do a few long days of travelling but you get to witness the spectacular desert scenery. We found the Saudi people very friendly and hospitable. This is a great time to visit Saudi Arabia as it is just getting used to tourists and they are keen to impress. My wife and I consider this to be one of our favourite trips and we travel a lot. If you book your own hotel (city hotel), we can pick you up from the airport and drop you at your booked hotel, but you will need to arrange your own transfer from your hotel to the tour hotel. Edge of the World is not included; however, you may book it as an optional tour.
