Asked on July 26th, 2025I am planning to take a tour of Taiwan in March 26 with my mum. At the end of the tour we plan to visit a friend in Hualien. Having looked at your tour it would seem sensible to go back to Hualien by train instead of returning to Taipei after Yilan. Is this something we could do? If so, would we be able to get a reduction in price as we wouldn't need the Taipei hotel for the last night.

As it is group tour, we cannot change our itinerary. If you would like to visit your friends in Hualien, you can have your own arrangement after overnight in Yilan. However we cannot deduct any tour fees.

Other travel companies can manage it very successfully and so you could with more effort.
