Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Bucaramanga

    You'll arrive in Bucaramanga and head straight to the bike shop to get everything set up and ready for the week ahead. After that, there's time to grab coffee and take a quick walk around the city before checking into your hotel in the uptown area. It's a relaxed first day focused on getting oriented and making sure your bike is in good shape.

  2. Day 2

    Bucaramanga

    After breakfast, you'll bike up to Acapulco for views out over the city. Lunch happens at a special restaurant they've picked out, and then there's a surprise activity in the afternoon that you'll find out about once you're there. The day wraps up with a nice dinner to celebrate your first full day of riding.

  3. Day 3

    Bucaramanga

    This ride takes you on a smoother route with a climb up to Corcova, where you get views of Bucaramanga stretching out below. The weather and landscape make for great riding conditions. In the afternoon, you'll spend time exploring more of the city and trying some local food and restaurants that the guides know well.

  4. Day 4

    Bucaramanga to Barichara

    Today's the big one. You'll tackle the Chicamocha canyon route, which is one of the best cycling routes in this region of Santander. The climb is demanding but the landscape as you go up is something special, and you finish in Barichara, which is considered one of the most beautiful towns in Colombia with its colonial architecture and quiet streets.

  5. Day 5

    Barichara

    This is a quieter ride from your hotel through Villanueva, passing stone workshops and colonial buildings along the way, then heading to Barichara. From there you'll descend down to Guane and have a picnic in the main park before heading back. Later in the afternoon, there's a planned activity in Barichara to round out the day.

  6. Day 6

    Barichara Departure

    Your last morning includes one final bike ride around the city before breakfast. After that, you'll either get transported to the airport for your onward journey or have flexibility to arrange travel to other parts of Colombia. It's the end of a week that's pushed you physically but given you some really good cycling experiences in Santander.

    • For any tour departing before February 8th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 8th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Santander Cycling. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
    • Some departure dates and prices may vary and Santander Cycling will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
    • The following cards are accepted for "Santander Cycling" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
