That trip cannot be booked by travellers over 60, as it is age-restricted and styled around hostel-based, youth-oriented travel. While there isn\u2019t an exact Classic trip on the G Adventures site that goes directly from Dubrovnik to Athens in one itinerary without age restrictions, we can possibly look at Classic Europe tours that include parts of the Balkans, Croatia and Greece. These are all-ages and more relaxed in pace. Combine a Classic Croatia tour with a Classic Greece tour, creating your own longer journey down the Adriatic and into Greece.

I am interested in this trip, but I'd also like to visit Plitvice Lakes. Is there any way we could come a couple days early and do this on our own?

Yes you can come earlier to do that on your own, but we do not have extra nights available to book so you would need to book those on your own.

Aside from staying in some very sketchy hostels, this trip was terribly planned. It was also changed without informing us. We often took a public bus causing us to take more than 3x as long as compared to a private vehicle, which when you’re already paying this much money what’s an extra 50$ per person??? For a travel company you think they would plan this route better. It is not advertised as “budget friendly” nor did it seem like it. Every optional activity is not really optional unless you want to be left at the hostel. You are expected to pay everything in cash which you are told of once you have your first meeting. If you need to take out cash you have to use their ATMs, I would have preferred to at MINIMUM be made aware of this ahead of time Overall if i had to say one thing it’s that me, someone with no travel experience could have planned this trip better than this. Why are we taking a 6hr public bus to only stay in a place one night? What’s the point in that? Don’t do this one.Show more
