I have never been on a tour and wondered if there were any shorter times available. Also I am not a fancy person. I am nervous about what to wear and are the lodgings fancy?

We actually have a few departures scheduled throughout May. The itinerary itself is fixed for this particular tour, but if you're looking for something shorter, I'd be more than happy to check other tours that may better suit the length of time you have in mind. Please don't worry at all about being fancy. Our tours are relaxed and comfortable. Lightweight, breathable clothing that you can layer is perfect. As weather can change, it's always wise to bring a warm outer layer and a waterproof jacket :) even in summer. The accommodation is comfortable hotel-style lodging for 6 nights. It's welcoming rather than formal, so there's no need to dress up. Occasionally, due to availability, a similar standard hotel may be used, but it will always be of comparable quality.

Are there any aspects of group travel or the itinerary that might be challenging for you in regard to mobility? What adjustments might you require to participate fully and have a safe and enjoyable trip? Please ensure you consider the included activities, accommodation, transport as well as the destination in general. How far can you walk confidently and without assistance or tiring? Can you manage the distances and physical activities outlined in the Essential Trip Information for your chosen trip? How well can you manage steps and stairs with and without handrails or steep slopes? How well can you manage getting up and down from the ground or from low seats? How well can you manage standing for long periods of time? Please look carefully at the type of transport included on your chosen trip. Will you be able to get in and out of the vehicles or board and disembark unaided? What further information do you need about transport to understand whether it is accessible for you? How do you manage with uneven surfaces and different types of terrain (ie. cobblestones, gravel, sand, rocks)? Please look carefully at the accommodation included on your chosen trip. Not all properties have fully accessible rooms or walk-in showers. Are there any accessible room or bathroom features that you need (if available)? Do you use any mobility aids (wheelchair, walker, scooter, walking frame or stick etc)? Please provide details including dimensions when in use and folded, weight, battery requirements etc.

We're searching for a tour for our travellers, one of whom requires the use of a mobility aid/scooter. They have advised us that one of the travellers can walk short distances, but does require a scooter for longer distances. Is this something you'd be able to accommodate, please?

My husband and I did the tour of the Martimes in Nova Scotia. It was beautiful country. Our tour guide, Louise, was fantastic. She is so kind and caring; she is an amazing safe driver. She's always there for you. The only thing I didn't like about the trip was the motel in Baddeck. It was so old; musty smelling. Needs a total renovation. Everything about it was pretty awful. No-one on the trip was happy with this hotel. Other than that, we did enjoy the rest of the trip. the other hotels were fine. The Picnic Louise arranged was a lot of fun and the hike was awesome on the Cabot trail.Show more
