Mixed Experience – Stunning Destination, Poor Organisation The highlights of my Ladakh tour were truly exceptional, thanks to the breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural experiences. However, the trip was nearly ruined by the poor organisation of the tour operators. Being based outside Ladakh, the operators seemed unfamiliar with the latest permit requirements in Leh. Despite me repeatedly confirming visa and permit details beforehand, they assured me everything would be sorted upon arrival. Instead, I was wrongly blamed for the issue, with them incorrectly claiming it was due to my Indian visa type. As a result, I was initially restricted to Leh, missing out on many of the tour’s key attractions. Fortunately, through my own efforts and at my own expense, I managed to secure the necessary permit with the help of a local travel agent—resolving the issue in just two hours. Once this hurdle was overcome, the rest of the trip was fantastic. A special mention must go to my driver/guide, who was outstanding—attentive, knowledgeable, and dedicated to ensuring my safety and enjoyment throughout the journey. Final Verdict: Ladakh itself is incredible, but choose your tour operator carefully—preferably a local one who knows the region’s requirements.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before July 16th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after July 16th, 2026, a minimum payment of 60% is required to confirm your booking with Swastik India Journeys. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
