Itinerary
- Day 1
Vancouver
Start your morning walking through Stanley Park to look for waterfowl like ducks, geese, and swans along the waterfront. You'll find herons and if you're lucky, bald eagles soaring overhead. From there, head to Queen Elizabeth Park where raccoons, skunks, and coyotes roam the trails. Later in the day, make your way to Beaver Lake to spot beavers and frogs near the water. Before you finish, check out the Pacific Blue Heron Colony near the tennis courts on Beach Avenue, where over 100 nests give you a real sense of the colony's size.

Vancouver
Board a covered boat from Vancouver for your whale watching trip along the Pacific Coast. A trained naturalist will explain the behavior and migration patterns of orca, gray, and humpback whales you encounter. Throughout the day, you'll spot dolphins, seals, and sea lions swimming near the boat. Keep your eyes up for bald eagles flying overhead. The journey takes you past the Gulf Islands and San Juan Islands, with views of Howe Sound making the scenic backdrop for your wildlife viewing.

North Shore
Cross the Lions Gate Bridge to reach Vancouver's North Shore and Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Walk across the 137-metre suspension bridge that hangs 73 metres above the Capilano River for a memorable experience. After crossing, explore the Cliffwalk with its towering cedar trees surrounding you. Check out First Nations artwork and visit the Story Centre to learn about the area's history. If you want, stop by Capilano Fish Hatchery to see salmon. Later, ride the Grouse Mountain gondola up the mountain where you can visit the grizzly bear enclosure and catch the Birds in Motion show.
