  The Scicily section went well, however the guide walked too quickly for our group who were often stretched out over 100 metres. He displayed no interaction with the group. The Malta section was very disappointing. Pick up at the airport was confusing as the tour name displayed did not resonate with us. Driver would not take us to our hotel and dropped us all 360 metres from our hotel which we had to drag our suitcases up hill too. Our guide next day was very pleasant and knowledgeable but changed the order and the day for some of the places to visit. This caused considerable confusion as others had joined the next day and were expecting to visit places we had visited the day before. This day was very rushed as our driver didn’t arrive at the arranged time and the guide was also 20 mins late. Driver couldn’t find the second pick up hotel and we drove past it twice before stopping on the third attempt. The final party were not picked up until nearly an hour after the designated time. Consequently everything was rushed. When we got to our last stop for the day Valetta we were told we needed to find our own way back to our hotel.   The itinerary was good however when disruptions happened, the tour company didn’t manage it properly with alternative options. My flight was cancelled on 26th September due to Etna activities at Catania. I had to take a ferry to Malta and they just told me to figure out myself. I had to get a taxi (30 Euro) to the bus station, paid for the bus ticket (10 Euro) and paid for the Ferry ( 89 Euro). They just told me that they would refund me the flight cost once the airline refunds them. At Malta, my 1st day included the visit to Gozzo and Another island. Due to high waves, that trip was cancelled. They just told me to take it easy and walk around the town. I don’t know how much they had charged for the day long cruise for the islands and even if they would have gotten the refund from the ferry company, I was not refunded. All they refunded was (100 Euros) on account of the cancelled flight from Catania to Malta. Where was, I ended up paying around 130 euros for getting from Catania to Malta and nothing for the cancellation of the Gozo and Camino islands day trip for which they would have been refunded. I know that the disruptions were not in their control but at least they should have refunded me for the refund they received from the Malta Gozo ferry service.Show more

  My overall experience was excellent; however, I provided a 4/5 rating due to my hotel experience in Malta. Sicily was truly wonderful. Our guide, Placido, was exceptional—highly knowledgeable, thorough in answering questions, and notably patient. He consistently ensured that all guests were well cared for, including a traveler using a cane, whom he thoughtfully accommodated at every stop along with her husband. While I would rate the hotels and meals in Sicily a 4/5, the overall experience in Sicily was a 5/5. Malta was also beautiful, and our guide (whose name I unfortunately do not recall) was very pleasant and well-versed in Malta’s history. The tour experience itself was excellent and deserving of a 5/5 rating. Unfortunately, my hotel experience in Malta was quite disappointing - 2/5 rating. Upon arrival, I encountered unprofessional behavior from the front desk staff member, Rocio. While assisting another couple from our group, she was also managing multiple tasks. In an effort to be helpful and expedite the process, I offered to begin my check-in while the couple completed their paperwork. Rocio responded by raising her voice and stating that she was in the middle of a shift change and that I would need to wait. Although I clarified that I was simply trying to assist, she continued to disregard both myself and the couple while attending to other tasks. After completing their check-in, she walked away without acknowledging me. When she returned, her demeanor remained abrupt. She asked for my passport, took a look that it was from the US and made a remark in Italian "Ah, ya entiendo". When I confronted her, because I understood what she said and asked "Que entiendes" she ignored me and then handed my passport to a colleague without explanation before leaving for the day. This created further confusion and delay, as the front desk became increasingly backed up and the next staff member continued administrative tasks without assisting waiting guests. Additionally, my room assignment further impacted my stay. I was placed on the third floor, where significant street noise from late-night activity continued until approximately 3–4 a.m., making it impossible to sleep. When I requested a room change, I was initially told the hotel was full. After contacting customer service, the issue was eventually resolved and I was moved to the sixth floor, which was much quieter. Based on this experience, I would recommend reconsidering this hotel for future itineraries. While it may appeal to younger travelers seeking a more active nightlife environment, it is not well-suited for guests seeking comfort and rest. The service and accommodations did not meet expectations. Also, while walking around that area, I did not feel safe. I was surrounded by people getting high and getting drunk. I had to reserve a ride in order to get out of that area in the evening.Show more

  This is the email I sent, you have not responded. It seems your app is permanently broken. I deleted the app and reinstalled. Still no luck . I am unable to access my information. See attached screenshot. I've managed on my own but this is a major issue for future travel with you. We stayed 3 nights in the Il Pricipe hotel. Substandard, not even close to 4star. Some of the meals were mediocre but the lunch at Mt. Etna was mostly inedible. Out first day tour in Malta we opted for the alternative tour but did not receive it. Overall a decent trip but I will be much more careful before booking again.Show more

  The Sicily portion of our trip was fantastic. Our guide was great and the hotels and sites visited were terrific. The Malta portion of our trip was not so great. Malta itself is fantastic but the hotel selected was TERRIBLE and the first day guide was a joke. We told her over and over we couldn't understand her yet she continued to speak in a whisper even after our drive got a mic for her to use. We were supposed to have a boat trip to the Blue Grotto but instead she put us on a boat around the coast line where we literally saw nothing and when we finally got to a scenic point above the grotto - she never told us that is what we were looking at - we got back in the van not knowing what we had seen. The second day we were supposed to have time to spend in Mdina but after walking the streets with a second guide (who was very good) we were told there was no more time and had to head back. The Malta portion of this trip needs serious adjustment if you want happy travelers. Lastly, the hotel while in a good location for restaurants was a terrible experience. Our room over looked a construction site that started at 6:45am every morning. Why a hotel would subject guests to that is beyond me. The hotel itself is in my opinion barely a 3 star property.   Not a good experience! We expected exactly what was promised in the itinerary but no, not even close. Hotels are maybe 1 star not 4. Best Hotel is Di Primo in Catania but in a bad neighborhood. Food was terrible! Four days at lunch pasta ( sometime with sauce, sometimes with canned tuna) and half fish with canned vegetables. Not edible! Expect long walks up the hill and down the hills and lots of steps. Not suitable for older people with locomotion problems. Soma people in out group walked with canes! Expect waiting in the heat for long time and nobody tells you why! Expect to push your luggage from the bus to the hotel and handling your luggage everyday. Guide or driver never offered a hand to help us off the bus. Driver uses his phone all the time during his job! Expect to be sent to different hotels than the ones you were told on the schedule and nobody will let you know in advance. Expect the guide to skip some sites and change the time on the schedule and rush you through the tour. That was our experience ending October 72025Show more

  Prior to departing all correspondence was answered promptly. Our tour guide in Sicily was extremely hard to understand with his heavy accent. Also our group was large not a small group. We had 45 people on our tour.There were 3 nationalities,English, Spanish and Italian. Our tour guide spoke poor English and only spoke direct to Spanish speaking and Italian people. When we approached him one on one to have things clarified,we were very much dismissed.The tour guy spoke at length in other languages and very little English. Also as per the itinerary ,it was not clearly set out that everyday the excursions were extra to be paid in cash only. We found this awkward and soon ran out of cash taken . The way the itinerary reads ,we assumed that the day trips were always paid in our booking. Upon reaching Malta and a new tour guide , our group was small and the guide was wonderful,happy and helpful.Show more
