Would u consider your tours easy, moderate, or strenuous

This trip activity level will be dynamic which means, there would be frequent early morning starts to maximize sightseeing and regular evening activities. The cumulative daily standing is 1-5 hours, and the cumulative daily walking is up to 3-6 miles/5-10 km per day. The terrains are of longer distances that may involve a mix of inclined, flat, and uneven surfaces, such as cobblestones, hills, and stairs. The sightseeing style is active with walking and standing involved. Guests should be able to get on and off the coach without assistance frequently and carry own luggage in some instances (trains and/or ferries).

I am interested in a tour to Japan, but we are a family of 4, 2 adults, and two kids (5 and 4 years old). I don't know if it is possible to book accommodation in only one room or has to be into twin rooms. Travel date - could be April or October.

Do we book our own airfares and organize transfers from airport to hotel etc do you only do land content, we have had a few trafalgar tours and would like everything to be organized for us for peace of mind.

For International Flights we can always add them on after booking and we can book them with Trafalgar in order to provide you with a complete package for peace of mind with transfers to and from the airports.

Well executed small group tour by Trafalgar. Excellent tour leader who anticipated every need. The tour gives a "taste" of Japan in a short period, covering key big cities and some rural areas. Variey of fun hands on experiences, such as cooking lessons, tea ceremony. Accommodations were top rated and all well located (except Tokyo), affording easy access for independent exploring during off-tour time. Every day is a walking day, so it is not suited for those with mobility issues. We had a companionable group of travelers of international origin. This is a good tour to introduce the country, traditions and culture and provides a sound foundation for those who wish to come back to Japan for more in-depth explorations.   April is a VERY popular time to travel to Japan and it may already be to late to book a tour for then. October would be a much better time to travel as it will be very less crowded. There would not be a family room to fit all 4 travelers in Japan. You would be looking at 2 rooms. Would this be okay with you?

Payment information
- For any tour departing before November 20th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after November 20th, 2026, a minimum payment of $200 is required to confirm your booking with Trafalgar. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 95 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
