  We had a good time on the 8-day 'Splendor of Sicily' tour with Soleto Travel, and it was a great way to see the island's most iconic spots without the stress of planning logistics myself. The logistical side of the trip was excellent. From airport transfers to city-to-city transportation, everything was professional and on time. We had some truly fantastic local guides who brought the history of sites like the Valley of the Temples to life with their deep knowledge and passion. It was a relief not to worry about navigating narrow Sicilian roads or finding parking in crowded city centers. The quality of food was generally good,with the lunch at Mt Etna which was the big hit. Soleto Travel is a solid, reliable operator that does a great job with the 'big picture' logistics. If you prioritize having a structured plan and want to ensure you hit all the UNESCO sites and major attractions, this tour is an excellent choice.   I recently completed the Sicily and Malta tour booked with Soleto travel. I cannot speak highly enough about the Sicilian part of the tour. We were taken to all the places I had hoped to see, some amazing sights! Our guide Alessio was wonderful, so informative, interesting and so organised. Everything went very smoothly. Alessio really went out of his way to make sure everyone in the group felt included. That is so important for solo travellers.Pino, the driver, was also excellent. It cannot be easy driving the steep narrow roads. The hotels on the tour were of a good standard, and we had some delicious meals included. In Malta, I did miss the camaraderie of the group, as I was solo for this part of the tour, but having my individual driver Jonathan, and tour guide Julia was great. Both were friendly and kind, and made my trip very enjoyable. Julia was very knowledgeable about the history of Malta, and made it come alive for me. Jonathan was also an excellent driver, and very helpful. One small point, Julia suggested I do the longer boat trip to St Peter’s pool rather than doing the trip to the blue grotto. Although the boat trip I did was fun, with hindsight I regret not doing the blue grotto trip. I would recommend to others to do the blue grotto trip.
