During the evening, you'll have the chance to meet your Travel Director and fellow travelers over a delightful dinner at a local restaurant. Feel free to arrive at your convenience during the day, as there are no scheduled activities prior to dinner.

My wife and I spent two glorious weeks on Country Roads of Switzerland enjoying all that Zurich, Lucerne, Bern, Montreux, Zermatt, St. Moritz and Grindelwald had to offer. We can never forget knocking off bucket list items of seeing the Matterhorn and taking the Glacier Express! All our hotels were 4 and 5 star centrally located with spectacular views with the added benefit of the Jazz Festival happening during our stay in Montreux. What also made our vacation so memorable was how exceptionally well organized our tour was under the expert guidance of our Travel Guide Sara Tattersall. The smaller group sizes offered by Insight made it very easy for the guests to get to know each other and get all fabulously. My wife and I are already thinking of what tour we want to do next year.Show more

Exceeded our expectations. This was our 7th trip with Insight and we have not been disappointed in any of them including this one. This trip is more about the Alps, the quaint villages and the cultural/scenic experiences than museums, dining, cathedrals, etc, which is exactly what we wanted. Carl Eggeling our tour director and Marcel our driver did a great job keeping us on schedule, wait times for trains/cable cars at a minimum and safe on all the 'country roads'. The scenery was mind-blowing, especially the last major mountain pass going to Grindenwald. The optionals were limited but worth the cost and time (the Klein Matterhorn, the Berniner train in St Moritz, the Jungfrau in Grindenwald were outstanding). I wish we would have skipped the meat fondue in Montreux (waste of 99 Franks per person in our opinion) but you live and learn. Definitely use your transportaton pass in St. Mortiz to take the Funicular and cable car to Top of St Mortiz. Highly recommend this trip.Show more

  I travel with my Pride 4-wheel Scooter: 21 inches wide, 24 inches high, 42 inches long, weight 80 lbs. ,collapsible, heaviest section is 40 pounds. If tour is traveling with a Mercedes Mini -Bus this will not work. Hotel requirements, Shower only with hand rails, no steps or stairs!
