Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival at Lake Wolfgangsee
You'll arrive at Lake Wolfgangsee at one of three villages: Abersee, Strobl, or St. Wolfgang. Getting here works well from either direction - there's a public bus running every 30 minutes from Salzburg, or you can take the train from Vienna to Bad Ischl and then catch a bus to the lake. Once you arrive, pick up your tour package at your hotel to get started.

St. Wolfgang - St. Gilgen
This morning you'll take a boat to St. Wolfgang and then head along the high walk toward the Falkenstein wall, which gives you views out over the entire lake. After that, the scenic Furberg walk takes you along the lakeshore all the way to St. Gilgen, Mozart's home village. You'll return by boat to where you started. Plan for about 4 hours of walking on this moderately challenging day.
