- FIFrank Frazier· July 7th, 2022tour radar was ok up front, but when we got handed off to their tour provider, Private Tours Greece, there were some problems. First, an optional boat excursion we booked thru Private Tours Greece was charged to us at $369, when the actual cost from the boat tour itself was only $125. We felt cheated by Private Tours Greece. When I objected they argued that they were charged $369, which the boat tour owner told me was not true. So BEWARE booking secondary activities and excursions thru Tour Radar and Private Tours Greece. Instead book direct with the providers. Very easy to do in advance online. We also had 2 instances where our pickup drivers at ferry arrivals were a no show or very late shows. Two of what were supposed to be 4 star hotels were actually 2 star hotels. Disappointing since we paid extra to upgrade to 4 star hotels. I suggest you verify in advance BEFORE paying Tour Radar EXACTLY which hotels they will book for you. Koufanisia was described by Tour Radar as an island with no autos or trucks, very quiet pedestrian and bicycles only. We were surprised on arrival to see cars and trucks all around ferry arrival at port, a massive traffic jam. Nice island, just not the auto free nirvana described by Tour Radar. Most hotels or airbnb's we were booked in were nice with good breakfasts provided which is why they get 3 stars. For the ripoff on our optional excursion they get a zero. Cheated me out of $220.Show more
