You currently have a wonderful opportunity to experience this trip as a solo departure! It would be operated privately for you, with our dedicated team and support, although there would be a 50% supplement to the standard price. Our support team is ready to ensure you have plenty of water, snacks, and food throughout your ride, with regular stops for rest and refills. You can also have peace of mind knowing our support vehicle and team are ready to assist with anything you might need, from mechanical help to transportation if required. We provide high-quality mountain bikes suitable for the Atlas terrain, and you have a choice between standard MTBs and e-bikes. We are a couple age 59 and 60. We are heading to Europe to bike tour late October. We are keen to do this trip but would be travelling from Spain and perhaps taking the Ferry to Tangier. Is taking your own bike an option? We have high spec carbon gravel bikes. Also can you advise on the best method to get to the start point of the trip - is there a suitable option by train or bus that is not to arduous.

Yes, you're very welcome to bring your own bikes. We've had plenty of guests travel with high-spec bikes before, the main thing is to pack them carefully (a padded bag or box is best, especially for carbon frames). We always recommend carrying a small toolkit and a couple of spares just in case. As for getting to the start in Marrakech, the simplest option is to fly directly into Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK). That way your bikes travel with you, and it avoids a long transfer. If you'd prefer to make the crossing from Spain by ferry into Tangier, that's certainly possible too. And from Tangier you can travel down to Marrakech by long-distance coach. The CTM and Supratours services are comfortable and will take boxed or bagged bikes as checked luggage.

Are bicycle rentals included in the tour price?

What if you can't complete the rides? Do they have support to pick you up if you can't finish the ride?

I had the pleasure of joining the 6-Day Gravel Bike Tour through the stunning Atlas Mountains in Morocco this October with a fantastic group of 12 people. To say it was an unforgettable experience would be an understatement. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family, not just tourists. The team at Morocco Bike Experience truly goes above and beyond. Our local guides were incredibly knowledgeable, not only about the routes but also about the history, culture, and traditions of the region. They made every ride feel like an exploration of the hidden gems of Morocco, leading us through breathtaking landscapes, remote mountain villages, and past jaw-dropping scenery that made us feel like we were riding through a dream. The cycling routes themselves were absolutely amazing. We went over two passes above 2,000 meters, which offered spectacular views and thrilling descents.   Just a few more questions. I'll also look into some flights to Marrakesh and get back to you. Please could you advise how many people are currently on tour starting 15th Nov. Is the price as listed at this time of year? What do you recommend regarding returning through to Madrid from the end of the tour in terms of flights and or alternate places to stay for a couple of days that would be relaxing in Morocco.

Yes the same prices normally this time of year is high season in morocco in biking tours industry. We could suggest a short tour around two or three days with night in desert camp.

  We are really only interested in a longer period of biking as was advertised on the gravel ride - 5 days minimum 100 kms per day etc. We are happy to stay on following which we would be happy to have a night in the desert and possibly a couple of nights at another area. Is it possible for you to contact me on WhatsApp? We would be happy to need accommodation and a backup driver for safety reasons but are happy to self navigate. Is this an option?

  About the distance most of the days are minimum 100Km and of course. We could customize any of them if needed. We could move forward once we confirm here at Tourradar we can move to the next step and setup the rest. Other than that we are not allowed to move outside of the platform.

  We have from the 14th to the 25th available to travel to Morocco. We are interested in seeing the high Atlas mountains and therefore would be keen to do the hidden gyms tour. Following that though we had anticipated possibly self guided bike packing from Fez to Tangier. We would then fly out to Madrid from there. If we did your trip we are happy with 100 km per day but would not do the 160 and we would be keen to get your insight into how we might travel the rest of our journey

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
