  Don’t book with Bamba, they are a third party transporting you to ‘Amazon Planet’, they are unorganised and book the cheapest travel option to maximise profit from you. This identical tour is £150 cheaper on GetYourGuide if you search ‘Amazon Planet’!! They booked us overnight buses for us to wait for 10hrs before the tour began and 10hrs after our tour until our next overnight bus. Book the flights yourself to Puerto Maldonado for similar price. They also booked us Uber’s to the bus terminal where they didn’t communicate when with us and then put us in a taxi and didn’t explain anything. The Amazon Planet experience was amazing but we didn’t need to involve Bamba Travel.Show more

  The tour company coordinated the logistics of booking my shuttle from my hotel to Cusco, overnight bus to Puerto Maldonado and made a booking with Amazon Planet Lodge. Communication from the tour company could be better as I had to email to request my bus tickets and ask what time my shuttle was coming. Amazon Planet Lodge seemed surprised by my arrival as it seems communication was missed from the tour company, but they graciously accommodated me anyways. One concerning item with this tour listing on TourRadar is that it states that the tour goes to Brazil and Peru, which is false. The tour only encompasses Peru.Show more

  I booked this tour thinking it would majority of the 5 days in the jungle. Turns out, Bamba only picked me up in the evening of day 1 to put me in an overnight bus. The next day, my morning was spent at the eco lodge office waiting for the rest of the group. Day 4, was again mostly spent in the office waiting for the taxi to take me back to the overnight bus. I did have the option of walking around Puerto Maldonado. Honestly, there wasn't much to do there. Day 5, I arrived at Cusco bus station with the understanding that there would be someone to pick me up. After waiting 45 mins, someone from Bamba finally told me there wouldn't be anyone and I should take a taxi. Not impressed with the communication. Amazon Planet is the eco lodge I stayed at. They were fantastic! Meals were delicious, room was well kept, community excellent. Jungle walks were enjoyable. Only wish I could have seen and done more. If I go back, I'd book with Amazon Planet directly.Show more

  The tour, the people the food were all really amazing. Our guide Frank was really knowledgeable about all of the animals, we had an awesome time. The only downside was on our schedule it said the last day we would have to walk around puerto Maldonado and we’d meet at a central meeting point and they’d drive us to the bus station to catch our night bus to Cusco but instead we had the option to go somewhere but we’d have to find our own way to the bus station which we didn’t want to risk so instead they just dropped us off at the bus station at 3pm for our night bus at 9pm. Besides that no complaints and I would definitely recommend the tour to friends and family.Show more
