For your requested date, the visit to Machu Picchu is done through Circuit 2B.

If a traveler would like their own room and tent, what is the supplemental fee? Is there still time to add the Huayna Picchu hike to this trek in September? If we wanted to stay in Ollantaytambo before the trek do we tell you that when we book? And you pick us up there?

Where do we store our luggage while we are on the trek?

Does this trip include two nights in hotel and 3 camping ? On the itinerary it's confusing with day 1. Also what time do you arrive back to Cusco at the end of touring Machu Pichhu ? Can you arrange the permit to hike Huayna Picchu?

To clarify your questions regarding the itinerary: the trip includes 4 nights camping and 1 night in a hotel, which is spent on the penultimate night of the tour before returning to Cusco. The other nights are spent at campsites during the trek. Regarding the return to Cusco after visiting Machu Picchu, the arrival time is approximately 6:30 PM, depending on the train schedule. If you wish to hike Huayna Picchu, the permits must be arranged separately, as this is an additional service. The cost for Huayna Picchu permits must be paid directly to us, since the platform no longer accepts payment for this service.

Our guide and the rest of the staff were top-notch and attended to our every need, even when one member needed assistance and was allowed to ride on one of the pack animals. Our Chef (Alejandro) cooked up some amazing dishes, especially considering the facilities he had to work with. The lead guide (Nilton) was very knowledgeble and encouraging, especially when the going got tough. The tour itself was one of the most physically challenging I have ever experienced. But we did it and so glad to be a part of it. The scenery was stunning!Show more

This was an outstanding experience! Our guide Nilton and his team catered to us more than we could have imagined. The trek was beautiful and challenging. Choquequirao was an incredible place similar to Machu Picchu but without crowds of people. Nilton was very easy going accommodating everyone. My girlfriend got sick one night and he had medication for her and put her on a horse for 7k uphill climb one day. One of the highlights was the amazing food we ate. The chef and two sous chefs cooked up gourmet meals breakfast, lunch and dinner which was great fuel for the challenging hikes. I would highly recommend this hike and using Alpaca Expeditions!Show more

We had Filippe as our ever-positive guide, the talented Samuel as our cook, and the smiling "Hike Like a Girl...Try To Keep Up!" Joanna as our helper. The trek was definitely a challenge, the scenery amazing and the destination well worth the effort. Those Llama terraces just have to be seen and there's hardly anyone there! Hiking poles were essential I think, though my teenage daughter says it was fine without. The quality of the food was incredible and the equipment good.Show more

  Regarding your inquiry, tickets for Circuit 2B at Machu Picchu are highly requested by many travelers. As the date approaches, availability tends to become more limited. Unfortunately, these tickets can only be guaranteed once the reservation is completed, as availability is in real time. Additionally, under Ministry of Culture regulations, tickets cannot be held for more than 3 hours without full confirmation through payment. In summary, to secure these tickets, availability must be checked at the exact moment of booking. Regarding your other question, if there is still availability for Huayna Picchu on the dates from September 15th to 20th, it is possible to add this entry. This corresponds to an additional circuit that takes place after the guided tour of Circuit 2B, so it would not affect your scheduled tour. Please note that the Huayna Picchu ticket does not include a guiding service, as it is an optional activity outside the group's itinerary. The cost for this circuit is USD 75 per person. If you would like to include a guide, this would have an additional cost of USD 90 per group; however, many travelers choose to do this hike independently.

If a traveler would like their own room and tent, what is the supplemental fee? Is there still time to add the Huayna Picchu hike to this trek in September? If we wanted to stay in Ollantaytambo before the trek do we tell you that when we book? And you pick us up there?

  Yes, it is possible to have private rooms and tents. The additional cost per room or tent is 50 dollars each. Also, yes, there is still time to add the Huayna Picchu hike to your trek in September. If you wish to add it, please let us know as soon as possible. If you would like to stay in Ollantaytambo before the trek, you can inform us at the time of booking, and we will gladly pick you up there to take you to the trek's starting point.

Does this trip include two nights in hotel and 3 camping ? On the itinerary it's confusing with day 1. Also what time do you arrive back to Cusco at the end of touring Machu Pichhu ? Can you arrange the permit to hike Huayna Picchu?

  To clarify your questions regarding the itinerary: the trip includes 4 nights camping and 1 night in a hotel, which is spent on the penultimate night of the tour before returning to Cusco. The other nights are spent at campsites during the trek.
  
  Regarding the return to Cusco after visiting Machu Picchu, the arrival time is approximately 6:30 PM, depending on the train schedule.
  
  If you wish to hike Huayna Picchu, the permits must be arranged separately, as this is an additional service. The cost for Huayna Picchu permits must be paid directly to us, since the platform no longer accepts payment for this service.

For tours departing after August 7th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Alpaca Expeditions. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
