- Rebecca· August 3rd, 2025This was a great experience! I would definitely recommend it. The itinerary was perfect, with the first day to acclimatize, second day summit, and third day return to Cusco. We even got to visit the hot springs in Pacchanta. My guide Irvin was simply amazing. He was super positive, motivational, and very knowledgeable. I would love to tour with Unu Raymi again.Show more

Asked on March 4th, 2022Do you mean for example from Lima to Cusco? Please clarify. Also what is the hiking speed going to be, on the average, how many miles per hour?
Unu Raymi ExpeditionsOperator•Written March 2022Yes, we can organise domestic flights for inland Peru, from Lima to Cusco. We currently have a group for the Choquequirao to Machu Picchu trek route in July if a departure for this month would suit you.

Traveler•Written March 2022Can you give me more info and pricing on Salkantay to Machu Picchu - 4 to 5 Days - what is the difference between that and the Inca Trail? Is it about the permits?
Unu Raymi ExpeditionsOperator•Written March 2022The Inca Trail requires permits to enter the route and logistically it's a well operated but well protected route. The Salkantay trek is more about the mountains and epic views of the mountain range in the Sacred Valley. It has some high mountain passes, lots of lagunas and epic trails, on the last day you will have a beautiful rearside view of Machu Picchu before you trek into Aguas Calientes on the penultimate day and then on the final day you go in to explore Machu Picchu.
