Perhaps the covid19 atmosphere had a bearing but we felt some stress during the trip. The places were great but we and our tour mates were aware of local peoples concern with us. We were told at one hotel that porters had quite rather than touch tourists luggage for instance. Highlights of the tour included Halong Bay and the hotel stay at Hoi An - it was a wonderful place and we could have stayed at the hotel for days. While the tour guide was a wonderful person and was very helpful in so many ways, we did find she seemed to feel disappointed if we did not take part in meals outside of the included ones. As a result we would feel guilty and while we would like to have done our own thing we felt obligated. Our least favourite was the Cities, particularly Ho Chi Min - for us too big and MUCH too noisy.Show more

The tour itself overall was good however the guide spoiled the Vietnam leg for me . She insisted that the group had Aet menus at pre-arranged restaurants. Irrespective of dietary requirements and became hostile when challenged. Charging the entire group the full Urban adventures fee for the Ho Chi Min tunnels tour when Intrepid was already providing the transportation and restricting the time there as we had to leave to check into the hotel was frustrating. Her management of “ tips “ was poor. I left Vietnam feeling like a fleeced tourist.Show more

The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
