Overall, the tour met my expectations, and the tour company was very good in responding to my messages. The driver, Maru, was prompt in picking me up from the airport and dropping me off for my return flight. He was an excellent driver, but due to his limited English language skills, he could not give me detailed information about Madagascar's history, culture, politics, and people, and so we spent long drives quietly. The city tour of Antsirabe, and Lemur sighting in the Anja Valley and Ranomofana National Park were good. Out of the 3 hotels I stayed on this tour, the Anja Valley Lodge and Hotel Thermal at Ranomofana National Park were very good. Those two hotels had A/C and the food was very good. The Royal Palace Hotel in Antsirabe, where I stayed 2 nights did not have A/C and the food was mediocre at best. If I had a choice, I would not stay at this hotel again. I was aware of the poor road conditions in Madagascar (which neither the tour company nor the driver had any control over), but I am a seasoned traveler and I was able to manage the long and slow drives through pothole-filled roads and other travelers must be aware of this and not be surprised. Overall, I had a good tour and have already recommended it to many of my friends.Show more

It was an indescribably fascinating, intense and impressive trip. Our driver Anell and our guide Remi were very responsible and friendly towards us. Remi brought us very close to the culture and people we met through his knowledge. Anell, our driver, drove us the approx. 2000 km through Benin with great foresight and very safely through the country. We are a couple in our early 60's. The hotels were fine for us. We knew that we could not apply European standards. Everyone who goes on a trip like this should know this. The breakfast consisted of baguette, omelette, coffee, tea (partly instant coffee), butter, jam - all sufficient for a breakfast. Remi gave us the opportunity to get to know and enjoy real African cuisine. We were there to get to know the people, their way of life, culture and religions - especially the Vodun/Voodoo. We got so close to the people on this trip. We didn't feel like the "whites", but that we belonged in a spiritual way. We can only recommend this trip to others. Many thanks to Remi and Anell!   On the last day of this tour, the schedule is to take us finally to the airport. We are planning to go to our next destination, Mauritius, on the same day and the Flight time is 17:00 in the afternoon. Can you advise whether this is workable? or else we might need to stay one more night in Antananarivo.

  1. On the first day of the tour, your itinerary indicated that we will be taken from airport and then send to hotel Le Louvre for Dinner and stay overnight. However, our flight might land around 01:50am very early in the morning. Will there be any airport pick up if we really arrive at 01:50? If yes, will you be sending us straightly to the hotel and treat that day as day one? If that is day one, then we have to start day 2 activities only a few hours afterward that will be too rush for us. Is that possible you can send us to the hotel and we can just leave the luggage first, then we can rest in the hotel lobby or go out for a walk then come back for check-in and only treat that as the first of day 1? By doing this, we can have dinner and rest longer in the hotel and prepare our start of day 2 after a good sleep. I hope you understand my question. Or may be you have other suggestion?

This way, you can enjoy your first day at a leisurely pace without the hassle of carrying your bags around. We will consider your arrival day as day one of the tour. Regarding the meal plan, you are absolutely correct. It is going to be half board basis (breakfast, dinner) with the exception of day 5 and day 6 which is Full Board. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 100 days prior to the departure date of your tour.
