  We booked the Cultural Morocco Tours 'From Tangier to Casablanca / Special private trip around Morocco in 8 days....
  We booked the Cultural Morocco Tours 'From Tangier to Casablanca / Special private trip around Morocco in 8 days. What we liked – The local tours and tour guides in Fez and Marrakesh, the vehicle and the Riad Fez Mahal in Fez. What we did not like – 1. All night stays ( except in Casablanca ) in Riads. We did not ask for and did not need this. The one in Fez was enough. Except in Fez, rooms were basic, surroundings squalid, access difficult and unpleasant, porter arrangements not good or non existent. Porter charges should have been included or informed in advance since the decision to book riads with no vehicular access was the tour opertor's. Luggage suffered much wear and tear where there was no porter or where porter came without cart. 2. Driver drove well, but did not tell us much along the way. He is not well informed and did not know the way to the Riad in Essaouira and grumbled about having to help us with pulling the luggage there. It is not my job, he said. 3. Bahia Palace and Dar El Bacha appear in the tour program given to us, but were not shown, though we were informed before commencement that earthquake damage would not have any impact on our program. And I had contacted the tour operator specifically about this, and asked if it was better to skip Marrakesh due to the aftermath of the earthquake. We werea ssured that there was no problem at all. This is a mis reprenattaion of facts. 4. The Riad Dard'art in Marrakesh had construction work going on with noisy drilling and hammering.It was disturbing. 5. The riad in Essaouria was pleasant , but the room that was given to us was on the top floor , at terrace level, with no airconditong, no fan and no ventilation. So it was very very hot. We had to keep the door open through out the night and felt unsafe. One night in Marrakesh and two nights in Casablanca would have been a better program.Show more

If we were to have another tour with this company we would certainly try and request Ismail as being our driver. The tour was well designed as we were able to see a lot of the various parts of Morocco in the eight days.Show more
