    My wife and I loved the combination of active and tourist, but especially liked the hikes with secret waterfalls and mountains that few if any tourists ever visit. We are in our 60's and the trip was challenging but very doable with plenty of time each day for the activity. I would recommend some fitness preparation as it definitely paid off on the uphill climbs. Andy from Active Adventures and Tom from Iceland were both top notch experienced guides who made it all work with added knowledge of history, geology and current affairs in Iceland.

For tours departing after March 13th, 2026, a minimum payment of $500 is required to confirm your booking with Active Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 90 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
    • Some departure dates and prices may vary and Active Adventures will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
