We have many mature travellers on our tours. We understand that there are many very fit and healthy clients who are older than 65 years old, but we also need to be sure that every client booking on a Sunway Safaris group overland tour is aware of the style of travel that we operate and the physical challenges that our clients may encounter on tour. We have many clients over 65 years old who participate in our tours, and in many cases add more adventure and experience than some of our younger clients! However, we need to be sure that each client is physically and mentally prepared and capable. Therefore we require a self declaration medical certificate to be signed by all travellers over 65. Sunway Safaris Under Canvas Camping Camping in the wilds of Africa is an unforgettable way to truly connect with nature. Our camping adventures stay at designated campsites in national parks, private reserves, and towns. These campsites generally offer good facilities such as hot showers, electricity, laundry areas, and often a bar or restaurant. In more remote areas, facilities may be more basic – think reed enclosures for showers, but still with flush toilets. In Botswana's national parks, we typically use private wild campsites with no permanent facilities. On these nights, the Sunway team will set up a bucket shower (heated over the fire) and a private pit toilet tent. Wild camping offers a truly immersive wilderness experience, and we leave no trace, taking everything we bring back out with us. Sunway provides all camping equipment except your sleeping bag and pillow (both available for rent). We use large canvas dome tents (2.2m x 2.2m x 1.8m) with built-in insect screens. These are easy to pitch (just 5 minutes), and we provide 5cm thick mattresses for a warm and comfortable sleep. Camp chairs have backrests, and all cooking and eating utensils are included. Most safaris include a number of nights in simple lodge or guest house accommodation. These nights offer modest but clean and comfortable en suite twin rooms. Tour Costs - BT14 tour: €2 120 per person - Local Payment: US$300 per person, paid directly to the guide on arrival - Single supplement (optional): €230 Excludes: Flights, visas, insurance, drinks, optional activities, some meals (as noted), and tips for guides.

Matobo standing next to rhinos, you don't imagine it. Hwange we saw I think 14 lions. Then the Victoria Falls. You have to have seen it. Here we did an extra helicopter flight. Magnificent. Then on to Chobe, at first we thought a bit beekse mountains. Until the sun went down. When the elephants cross the river everyone is breathlessly watching. Then into the Okavango Delta. No facilities but this was the best of the whole trip. Lots of animals. And so much fun going out with the mokoros. Also made an extra heli flight here. This is not to be missed. Then towards the hotel in Johannesburg. That hotel was the only downside. I can recommend it to everyone. A great group we had, no one even once late. And the guides ..........gouden guys. In short. Payment information
- For any tour departing before August 25th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after August 25th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Sunway Safaris. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 50 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
