Itinerary
- Day 1
Chachapoyas
You'll arrive at the bus terminal and get transferred to your hotel to drop off your bags. Later in the day, head out to Kuelap, a fortified citadel sitting at 3000 meters above sea level. The archaeological site of Macro is on the way, and you'll walk through Kuelap's main buildings, residential areas, the large temple, and the south platform. After grabbing lunch back in Chachapoyas, you'll return to your hotel for the evening.

- Day 2
Chachapoyas
Meet your guide at the hotel, then travel to Cruzpata where you'll start a 30-minute walk to the burial site of Karajía. The Chachapoyas sarcophagi are set high in cliffs that are basically unreachable, and they contain mummified remains of important rulers from the area. From there, you'll check out the cave of Quiocta, which has thousands of stalactites and stalagmites throughout. You'll head back to Chachapoyas for lunch and spend the rest of the day at your hotel.

- Day 3
Chachapoyas
You'll depart toward San Bartolo and take a 45-minute walk to reach the funeral chullpas of Revash. These are one and two-story mausoleums decorated with Chachapoyan artwork from centuries ago. After the guided tour there, you'll transfer to Leymebamba for lunch, then visit the Community Museum which displays 219 mummies from the Chachapoyas culture along with weavings, ceramics, weapons, musical instruments, and Incan quipu records. Later you'll drive back to your hotel in Chachapoyas.

Chachapoyas
Travel to the village of Cocachimba to see the Gocta waterfall, which is roughly 2.5 hours away. During the journey you'll notice the different plants and animals in the region. When you reach the base of the waterfall, you'll have time to relax and take in the area around you. After eating lunch back in Cocachimba, you'll make the drive back to Chachapoyas and the bus terminal to wrap up your tour.
