Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu
You'll land at Tribhuwan International Airport where someone from the tour company will meet you. After getting oriented about what's coming up, you have time to rest and get settled at your hotel. Come evening, you'll have a traditional Nepali dinner to start off your trip.

Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing
After breakfast at the hotel, your guide takes you through Kathmandu Valley. You'll head to Swayambunath, the Monkey Temple sitting on a hill with great views of the surrounding mountains. From there, you continue to Pashupatinath Temple, which is the main Hindu site honoring Lord Shiva, and then finish at Patan Durbar Square where you can see traditional architecture that's been around for centuries.

Kathmandu to Paro
You'll eat breakfast and then head to the airport for your flight to Paro in western Bhutan. The flight gives you aerial views of Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga, and Mt. Chomolari. Once you land at Paro International Airport, your representative picks you up and drives you through the Bhutanese countryside to your hotel.

Paro to Thimpu
The drive from Paro to Thimpu includes stops at several cultural spots. You'll see the Memorial Chorten, a stupa built to honor Bhutan's third king, then check out the National Library which has old manuscripts, folk heritage and textile museums. The painting school gives you a look at traditional art and thanka painting. Later, you have free time to walk around Thimpu before heading back to your hotel.

Landmarks Memorial Chorten - Day 5
Thimpu to Gangtey
Today's about 150 kilometers from Thimpu to Gangtey. You stop at Dochula Pass for coffee and see the 108 stupas there with great Himalayan views. Then you continue on to Gangtey, a quiet valley surrounded by forests. The evening is yours to explore, or you can optionally visit Gangtey Goempo monastery if you're interested.

Gangtey to Wangdue
You head to Wangdue and visit Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, an impressive fortress built on a hilltop that's shaped like a sleeping bull. Inside, you'll see the detailed wall paintings and decorative art. After that, you take an easy and scenic hike through buckwheat and potato fields in the surrounding area.

Wangdue to Paro
Starting early, you climb up to Khamsum monastery for great valley views and terraced rice paddies. You continue to Punakha Dzong and visit Chimi Lhakhang Temple, which honors a 15th century saint named Drukpa Kunley. Later in the day, you drive back to Paro for the night.

Paro Exploration
Your last day in Bhutan focuses on Paro's culture and temples. You visit Simtokha Dzong, one of the oldest fortresses, and Rinphung Dzong known for its architecture and intricate woodwork. You also see Kichu Monastery, one of the oldest temples. Then comes the main event: a 45-minute drive and hike to Taksang Monastery, the famous Tiger's Nest perched 900 meters up a cliff. You return to Paro for your final night.

Early morning you drive to Paro International Airport for your flight back to Kathmandu. During the flight you'll see Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga, and the surrounding mountains from above. After landing in Kathmandu, the rest of the day is free for you to visit sites in the valley at your own pace.

Kathmandu Leisure Day
This day has no scheduled activities and acts as a buffer in case of weather delays earlier in your tour. You can use it for shopping, more sightseeing, or just relaxing. Your guide can suggest the best spots if you want to explore more of the city. Your airport transfer gets arranged for later.

Departure from Kathmandu
