One Life Adventures commented on this reviewThank you for the amazing feedback, Alvina. We're glad that you loved the tour and made a great memories. We’d love to have you again for another adventure ✨Trip date: November 2025- CSColine· December 12th, 2025Automatic translation available in English. View in EnglishDaan, our guide, managed the group with psychology and benevolence, as well as a busy schedule to perfection, adapting to our dynamics and openness. We got on very well together and forged strong bonds despite our many nationalities. It's impossible to be exhaustive when it comes to visiting Japan's main cities in two weeks, and that's not the aim, but the choice is relevant, diversified and each of the experiences we had was exceptional - I won't be able to rank them in order of importance. Free time is well-balanced in the schedule to satisfy individual preferences. Rest areas are clean, beds comfortable and breakfasts included for most. PS: don't forget to turn on the heating in the temple rooms, especially as it gets cold in winter - that's what authenticity is all about. This trip will probably be the best I've ever done. The pace is a little brisk because of all the traveling, but you just need to be in good shape for the two weeks. PS: remember to bring a deck of cards/society to interact with during the off evenings and transfers, even if the scenery will undoubtedly distract you a lot :) Final tips: save room in your bags for your purchases, don't overload yourself, there are washing machines everywhere, say yes to everything and enjoy yourself to the full, it will help you make the most of the experiences Japan has to offer.Show more
One Life Adventures commented on this reviewThanks a lot for your amazing review, Coline. We’re happy to hear you loved the tour and we’d be excited to see you again on your next trip ????Trip date: November 2025 - LLLewis· December 9th, 2025This tour gives a great look around some of the biggest and busiest cities in Japan! It’s a great idea if you find the concept of solo- planning a trip quite daunting as the tour guides are very accommodating and you meet great people whilst on the trip. Plenty of opportunities to also do your own thing outside of the itinerary.Show more

Devon· December 8th, 2025This trip was such an amazing way to experience Japan! The sushi-making class, dressing up in kimonos for the tea ceremony, and the Kendo lesson were absolute highlights that made the whole journey feel truly special. Exploring iconic places like Fushimi-Inari, Arashiyama, and the traditional Gion district of Kyoto with its temples and geisha culture was wonderful, and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum was incredibly moving. I also really enjoyed collecting Goshuin (temple stamps), but make sure to head to temple areas early since lines can get long. Overall, the variety of experiences made the trip feel rich and memorable, and sharing it all with the group was a huge part of the adventure. There were, however, some areas that could be improved: * The travel day to Hiroshima involved too many transfers. Maybe change up when we travel to Koyasan (before Osaka) or a suggestion to see on a free day/after the tour * Hostel accommodations were quite basic for the price. The Tokyo hostel felt underwhelming and far from everything compared to a similar-cost hotel we stayed at in Shinjuku before the tour. In Kyoto, all 12 of us were placed in one capsule-style room that became uncomfortably hot, which didn’t leave much privacy. * Guides asked for reviews before the trip was finished, which felt awkward. * More advanced notice about arrival and departure times, along with clearer suggestions for free time activities, would have helped us plan extra visits to temples or neighborhoods in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. 🌸 Overall Rating: 4/5 The experiences were incredible, the group vibe was wonderful, and Japan itself is just magical. With a few tweaks to the itinerary, accommodations, and communication, this could easily be a perfect trip!Show more

Asked on November 16th, 2025Is the bullet train included. Is this whole trip the price except two long flights? Can you do own thing instead of the sushi thing? I not like sushi?
One Life AdventuresOperator•Written November 2025The bullet train is not included, but we can help you book the bullet train from Hiroshima back to Tokyo. The cost would be $330 AUD. Yes you can opt out of the Sushi Class, and your tour guide can offer you some good advice on an alternative activity based on what you enjoying doing?

Asked on November 13th, 2025I would like to request an exception to the age restriction. I am very fit, currently exercise 5+ times/week (over 300 minutes aerobic and resistance). I have completed a marathon and a dozen half marathons. I am comfortable covering 10+ miles per day.

Traveler•Written November 2025I am 60 and plan to travel with my 16 year old son.
One Life AdventuresOperator•Written November 2025Unfortunately we do have age guideline of 18 to 59, we can at times accept someone a year above the age range, though we do have a strict policy for over 18 I'm afraid. We are hoping to launch a possible open age tour in the future, so do contact us and we'll hopefully have something for you and your son in the future.

Asked on November 7th, 2025Why is the age limit on the tour for ? Is it due to adult only activity included in the tour? If so we are happy to skip that activity. Our kid is very much used to extensive travelling for 30-45 days stretch and having long days going around. So if that is the reason then it shouldn't be a concern.
One Life AdventuresOperator•Written November 2025We appreciate and love the fact that you want to join our tour, however, as we are an 18-59 year old tour company our travellers join our group tours on the basis that it is an adult only tour. Therefore we are unable to provide flexibility on the minimum age.

Jason
Asked on October 12th, 2025Age maximum? I'm 75 . 3 months in Europe last spring summer mid April to mid July
One Life AdventuresOperator•Written October 2025We won't be able to accept your booking as we do have an age policy of 18-59, with the tours aimed and attracting people 25-35. I absolutely agree that adventure has no age limit and I know that fitness and passion for travel don't always match the number on your ID. That said, our age guideline is in place to ensure a balanced and cohesive group experience for everyone on tour. I understand that age restrictions can be disappointing, especially when you're eager to embark on an adventure. I hope that you'll be able to find a tour that perfectly aligns with your preferences and requirements.

Asked on September 24th, 2025Is there a group travelers with all ages

Asked on September 2nd, 2025What would be the best time to visit Japan with low chance of rain, temperature between 15-25 °C, and less crowded? Is it possible to get a warning if a tour date is nearly full?
One Life AdventuresOperator•Written September 2025Late October to early November is one of the best times to travel Japan. Weather is 15-25 °C, rainfall is low, and you'll see autumn foliage without heavy crowds. Another good option is late May to early June. 90% of tour dates in peak seasons sell out in advance. Placing a deposit now secures your spot and allows changes up to 60 days before tour start.
- C
Christina
Traveler•Written September 2025How much is the deposit and will I still be eligible for a sale?
One Life AdventuresOperator•Written September 2025Deposit is AUD$350.00. It's unlikely to get a sale during peak travel times. Placing a deposit now will lock in current pricing before 2026 price increases.
- C
Christina
Traveler•Written September 2025Is it possible to switch the tour date to an earlier time or to another One Life Adventures trip?
One Life AdventuresOperator•Written September 2025Yes, you can change both tour time and country if done at least 60 days before original tour start. Japan Tour closes 30 days before start date. All date/location changes are subject to availability.
