  Tomato Tour Company is fantastic. Your guide was Yumi. She was the best! She was smart, kind, helpful,and took really great care of us. She really made our Japan trip wonderful in every way. Her English was great and she knew so much information about all the various sites we visited. All 6 of us in our little group loved her and appreciated her every day.   Our tour group only ended up at 6 ( 2 from Scotland, 3 from USA and 1 from Oz with Yumi our tour guide and drivers....
  Our tour group only ended up at 6 ( 2 from Scotland, 3 from USA and 1 from Oz with Yumi our tour guide and drivers. However from start despite our age and background differences we gelled and this contributed greatly to it being a fantastic tour. The tour itself was very well organised with a great and varied itinerary and enough free days for all to fit in their specific wishes. The hotels were all of a very good standard but I have to put in a special mention to the 4 hotels with onsen’s ( hot baths) as I absolutely loved them. A buffet breakfast was included at each stay and choice and quality were also very good. We also particularly liked the welcome and farewell dinners as a good way to get to know and say farewell which we expanded upon(including Yumi) by sharing a bottle of sake afterwards. Even Mt Fuji played ball that day with not a cloud in the sky which I’m told does not happen too often. Regarding the itinerary we particularly liked it starting in Osaka and finishing in Tokyo as we wanted to add more days to Tokyo after tour. We both loved Kyoto including our ceremonial afternoon tea with kimono we had booked on our free days. Hiroshima was very sobering but worth seeing but without going through each day it was suffice to say that that they were varied and we were glad we did them and we would certainly recommend to others to consider this tour if wanting to see Japan( which is very very safe) Finally a special mention goes to Joseph our driver for most of the time and Yumi our guide. Joseph was always there on time, helpful and polite. A guide can make or break a tour so a big thank you to Yumi (and our compatriots) for making this an unforgettable experience and at a really reasonable price. Thank you TourradarShow more

  **Fantastic 15-Day Japan Tour – Highly Recommended! 🇯🇵** We had an amazing 15-day tour of Japan from Osaka to Tokyo, including a memorable visit to Hiroshima, from 8–22 September. The itinerary was very well organised and gave us a wonderful opportunity to experience Japan’s culture, history, food, and beautiful scenery. A special thank you to our fantastic guide, **Calvin**, whose knowledge, enthusiasm, and personal input made the tour truly special. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable, informed, and enjoying every part of the journey. His recommendations and attention to detail added so much to our experience.   The tour was a bargain for everything that was included. Unlike some other tours that have add-ons, additional fees/"optional", or don't include admission entries, what you see is what you get with the itinerary. I enjoy having more free-time and this tour isn't entirely hand-held, which is good, but you will need to learn to navigate the subway in a few cities such as Kyoto and Tokyo (no problem for me). Our guide, Osman, was very amiable. Hotels were comfortable and the included breakfasts were nice. Two hotels offered an option of Japanese style breakfast instead of "Western" and other amenities like bathing springs. I would highly recommend this tour.Show more

  We really really appreciated the your guide Osman. He was educational, ready to answer every question or need, funny, clear English, spoke Japanese to my Grandson who had 13 years of learning Japanese (much appreciated the attention). My group can't say enough nice things about him. Would love to travel with him as a guide again. Most hotels were good, except 2. One was at a lake by Mt Fuji. Take it off list. It stunk and many items stained. As from USA, we loved trying out the many Japanese breakfasts, but a few more western food items during the week would have been nice. The two provided dinners were awful. Food selected and ambiance were terrible. I understand buffet necessary for group. But both lacked quality in preparation. Cold food may be traditional in Japan, but spaghetti with sauce has to be served hot. Really enjoyed the many places we saw. Maybe one or two less castles or shrines. Overall, the trip included many parts of Japan we will never forget, but mostly, Osman made every day fun for us.Show more

As you may have noticed, hotel rooms in Japan tend to be more compact compared to other countries due to limited land space. Even in 4- or 5-star hotels, room sizes are typically around 21–24 sqm.
