  • I

There is a knowledgeable tour leader and a bike guide who will take you through interesting sites daily, providing information and managing the navigation.

  • D

    Daniela

    Asked on January 8th, 2025

Can you confirm the May 12th departure availability and advise how many seats are still available? Jonathan plans to bring his Brompton folding bicycle. Is this permitted? Could you also share the terms and conditions applicable once the traveller has booked and paid the deposit?

    Tour Details
    Transport
    • Feniks CharterOperatorWritten January 2025

Sorry, this trip has just been chartered completely and thus fully booked. For the reverse trip May 26 Paris-Bruges we have a single (bunk bed) cabin and 2 standard low beds cabins available. Bringing your own bike is possible. I see it is a Brompton. I am not sure, but if it is a foldable bike I would recommend to rent a bike.

  • A

    Asked on December 11th, 2024

Are the tours/guides English? Do many people choose e-bikes or do most of the travelers use the regular bikes? Is there an inside lounge area other than the dining room? Are there more photos of the barge interior? Are there bathrooms and showers in the rooms? Do you have recommendations for accommodations before sailing? Do you arrange for private transfer from Paris as an additional service?

    • Feniks CharterOperatorWritten December 2024

      - Are the tours/guides English? YES - Do many people choose e-bikes or do most of the travelers use the regular bikes? HARD TO SAY. SOME GROUPS WANT TO BIKE AS NATURAL AS POSSIBLE AND INSIST ON REGULAR BIKES, OTHERS WANT E-BIKES. - Is there an inside lounge area other than the dining room? NO, THE DIMENSIONS OF ALL BARGES GOING TO FRANCE ARE LIMITED BY THE DIMENSIONS OF THE CANALS AND LOCKS. THIS IMPLIES THAT THE FENIKS IS A RELATIVELY SMALL BARGE (MAX 14 PAX) AND LIMITED IN SPACE AS WELL. THERE IS A LARGE UPPER DECK. - Are there more photos of the barge interior? YES, YOU CAN FIND THEM ON THE WEBSITE OF FENIKS CHARTER - Are there bathrooms and showers in the rooms? ALL CABINS ARE EQUIPPED WITH SHOWER/TOILET ENSUITE. - Do you have recommendations for accommodations before sailing? NO PROBLEM, WE KNOW BRUGES AND ITS SURROUNDINGS VERY WELL. - Do you arrange for private transfer from Paris as an additional service? SORRY, FENIKS CHARTER IS A SMALL COMPANY, OFFERING THIS KIND OF SERVICE IS BEYOND OUR CAPACITY.

    Operator
    • Feniks CharterOperatorWritten October 2024

We do not generally use walkie-talkies as they have proven not to be very effective in our experience.
